Clothing Alteration Studio

This little shop never fails to disappoint with its window displays — they always make an effort.
It is a fairly traditional alteration shop and they don’t mess around — if they don’t think something will work, they’ll tell you. I’ve made enquiries here on a couple occasions about getting dresses altered and sleeves shortened. It has always surprised me that such alterations aren’t exactly cheap. I guess having a Mom gifted in sewing has spoilt me somewhat!
They clearly know what they are doing and I’m sure that they do a brilliant job. The shop feels a bit like a throw back to days when people made do and mended — with an old sewing machine permanently on display. I guess you can’t scrimp when it comes to craftsmanship.
