Parade café couldn’t be any more of a working man’s café if it tried. It is almost as if this is what it aspires to be. With its shabby paintwork, unevenly hung curtains and general scraggy appearance, the owners are obviously tapping into the East Street phenomenon and ‘keepin’ it real’. Needless to say, snacks and beverages are pretty cheap, and staff are salt of the earth types. Don’t expect anything frilly(although the net curtains have a certain frill to them), but do expect a warm welcome and a scrumptious full English breakfast for under a fiver.
