If you like to know your meat has come from local farms, this little butchers will satisfy your needs. Selling a range of steaks, from romp to stewing to sirloin to braised, this outlet is popular with Southville locals, and is every inch the traditional butchers. Meat is obviously more expensive here, but far surpasses supermarket quality.

I’m always a fan of independent Butchers. They seem to be a rarity these days with a Tesco’s Express opening up every 400metres which makes each Butchers even more special! I like the fact that you know your meat is local and is of a far far better quality than supermarkets. I do find it tricky working out how much different cuts cost and how much I need, but I guess practise makes perfect. Check out closing time as they usually have some sort of deal going on.

You got a taste for a juicy joint? Got a hankering for a great bit of Gammon? Is your wife asking for some lovly lamb chops? Then you know where to head… to the Butt! D.R. Butt to be precise! A very friendly service and, of course, that oh so impressive first impression fantastic smell as soon as you walk into the butchers… You can’t beat it. My friend asked me yesterday«A Butcher? a Baker? or a Candle stick maker?» and without even having to think I said«Butcher!» mainly because I come to places like this and they never dissapoint, provide brilliant quality meats at a goo value… Bedminster locals I envy you!
