Many people say you are either a ‘Costa-er’ or a ‘Starbucks-er’ I think however you can appreciate what they both have to offer. This Costa is located up in Cabot Circus’ 2nd floor so serves as an ideal place to pop for a quick snack or drink on a little shopping adventure. For me the Costa expierience is really good, there is outdoor seating so you can enjoy your drink and watch all the other shoppers go about their business, and the inside is decked out with enough variety to make it seem like an original little independant store. A little bit on the expensive side but for some of the cakes they sell I would pay double!

This Costa’s is in a really handy location on the top floor of Cabot Circus and next to the cinema. This is especially handy when you realise you have turned up an hour early for your film and need somewhere to sit down and waste an hour. No matter what time of day, this one especially is always busy so you will struggle to find a seat let alone one of the prized sofas. Service is quick and efficient and they serve your standard cakes and pastries. There is a nice cosy feel as most Costas have and there is a good ‘buzz’ to the place, I just find it lacks atmosphere and at the end of the day, one Costa’s is just the same as the next.

The highest of the Costas in the Cabot Circus, this is next door to the cinema so is the quickest choice for a pre/post film cup of tea. The nicest thing I can say is that it has a selection of seats to attract both armchair and wooden chair enthusiasts. It is £2 for a small latte which is nicer than Starbucks but still just a latte. Their brownie was awful — over sweet and just melted in the mouth rather than being cake-like which is what a brownie should be the last time I checked(which wasn’t that long ago).

Just outside the Galleries, and within a stone’s throw of Cabbotts, this Costa Coffee always has some clientele but is never jam packed. Although the décor is in standard costa mahogany/deep red, it creates quite a relaxing atmosphere away from the bustle that Cabbotts Circus seems to have created. I’d also recommend trying their Massimo size lattes. Ever seen the mugs used at Central Perk in friends

Really cosy and nice branch of the popular coffee chain. The service is friendly and swift and the chilled drinks and muffins are particularly recommended. Very welcoming to children. Reasonably priced.
