Food was yummy and I love that the breakfast menu is available until 4pm. However there was a delay getting seated. Not because there weren’t plenty of tables available but because the host was slow. Also the kitchen doesn’t know how to do poached eggs! Which aren’t that hard to do! They were cooked completely through, no runny egg yolk at all.

Bill’s has never failed to deliver a CRACKING breakfast — the only place I will guarantee a visit once a month for family and friend meet ups. Highly recommend! If you haven’t been — you are missing out! Do it. Say YES to a Bill’s Brunch.

Super cute restorative warehouse venue. The service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is seasonal so you know everything is fresh. I had the avocado and toast which was very delicious. Fiancé had the English breakfast. Perfect portions. Will try to come again during my stay here in Brighton.

Not a vegetarian café so why does Unilocal list it as one.. There are never any vegan options when I have looked !!!

Busy restaurant but well worth the wait. Great wholesome food. Great value and amazing tastes to please everyone. We went Easter Friday so it was busy but the food came out fast and the wait staff are very quick and attentive. Perfect for breakfast which is what we had, try the watermelon drink it’s great.

Bill’s has been in Brighton for years and I’ve loved it ever since it opened. I’ve been with friends, taken family and gone with my other half and every time it’s been great. Sadly still miss the amazing desserts they used to do covered in fruit and flowers, they were works of art. The portion sizes have reduced over the years and it’s now a really big chain, which means it’s lost a bit of its unique charm. Even so they still get top marks as its a great place to go. They do a really good veggie breakfast.

It’s what you would expect from any Bills restaurant: friendly service and overpriced food. The restaurant is always busy and has a great atmosphere, but the food is stupidly expensive for the quality and portion size. We had Fish & Chips which was enough for a small appetite and a Mac and Cheese which was tiny and didn’t contain much Mac. Not the worst place but not really worth the hype.

Not sure if I have written a review for bills before… But I’m going to write a quick new one… Went here today for brunch. Really tasty! I had eggs florentine, pumpkin seeds and spinach. Served on a muffins With delicious tasting butter. It was just amazing! Cost £7.95! So I would say pretty expensive but it’s worth treating yourself to it as you can taste the difference of how farm like the food is! Organic I guess is the best word to describe it! I also had a cappuccino MYGOD. The coffee is REALLYREALLY good. I was a little bit taken a back by how amazing it was. It’s ALWAYS packed and busy in here. Next time I’m going to try and sit on the mezzanine — YES you don’t always notice that do you? The reason why id like to sit there is because downstairs I feel everyone is really close to you and your sitting on top of each other. It also was realllllly hot and quite loud in there today! Get yourself down there in January! They are doing two for one on meals!

Bill’s doesn’t have a huge gluten free menu, but they do have a dedicated one. I, however, always end up coming back to the same thing: the bacon, avocado salad. Imagine a salad, but then imagine that it is about 80% bacon. That is this salad. There’s some leafy bits too, of course, but there is undeniably a lot of bacon, some cheese, slices of avocado and the most amazing gluten free croutons you will ever encounter. I could eat this salad every day of my life. Plus you get to feel a bit smug ordering a salad while your friends order massive burgers or something, because they won’t know your salad is mainly bacon.

Good honest food at bills always delivers. Went for a business lunch and had the bacon advocado salad. Very nice. A friend had the veggie breakfast which looked great. Green juice I had was slightly on the turn which makes me think it wasn’t fresh that day. It had a fizzy taste like when pineapple juice has expired. All good apart from that and the staff are always super friendly.

Introduced my america-raised kids to a true English breakfast when we visited my family in brighton. The food was good and filling. The service was cheerful. I initially thought it a bit pricey, but since two weeks have gone by, including London and Paris, this place was actually one of the more reasonable. The family enjoyed the décor, although as an ex-pat I was a little embarrassed. I guess I felt like an Italian eating at the Olive Garden — except in Italy. My youngest loved the baked beans, my eldest discovered eggs Benedict over salmon, and my daughter ate all her blueberry pancakes.

Always a favourite amongst my social circle. We regularly organise brunches at Bill’s purely for the brilliant mezzanine. Food is always great and the service is definitely always with a smile.

The food is lovely, undeniably. I eat out a lot and the vegetarian breakfast here is truly the best meal in the world. Poached eggs, humous and avocado smothered over chunky bread with mushrooms and chilli sauce. I rave about this in my Bill’s Lewes review too. Tbh it deserves its own section on Unilocal. Broadly the menu is a little over priced, particularly the smoothies and starters/sides. We ordered the tortilla chips and a selection of dips. They only gave us 10 chips, which felt a bit cheap. The dips were lovely but we could only eat half of them as we’d run out of chips(see picture). I prefer Lewes as it’s smaller but it’s still really enjoyable :)

This is a spacious restaurant serving the usual Bill’s fate. Breakfast is good, with a lot of sweet and savoury options, and on weekdays the restaurant is virtually empty in the morning. This is worth a visit if you want something sit-down.

Um, so was a bit underwhelmed on the whole, but I think might have been due to my food choice? I walked away feeling stodgy and heavy after a meal of Cumberland sausage and potato Rosti which was very rich and creamy but delish. The sausage was ok, but not something I would order again. My companion had steak which he said was decent but nothing special, however we both agreed that the corn with spice-butter and the sweet potato fries he got as his sides were excellent. Oh the mint-peach tea was also very refreshing, but make sure u ask for less ice otherwise it gets watered down very quickly. I don’t know, we might go back if in Brighton again, but this visit for us def did not live up to the hype of the other Unilocal reviews.

I wish I could give 6 stars as the service was so good or maybe 7 because they have Portuguese Vinho Verde and that’s always an extra star, right?! Yes, it was that great, for real, one of the best meals! The space is beautiful, with candles on the tables that make it intimate and cozy. All the staff are very friendly and chatty. The food is delicious and so are the drinks! So to start I ordered a glass of vinho verde — it’s good, it’s portuguese — and a peach and mint iced tea and both were great. Then for starters tortilla chips(which came with 3 different sauces), for a main a Bill’s hamburger and for dessert a Bill’s ice cream — yoghurt, vanilla and honeycomb! All truly amazing, superb! However, the staff always make a difference in a meal experience. In this case they totally exceeded my expectations. One of those places where I get a welcome feeling. Since I walked-in they were really nice and they checked several times to make sure everything was alright but the highpoint was at the end when I told the waitress that she was amazing and that she must have loads of patience to look after the rude customers on the table right beside us(they were acting awkwardly all night)! At this point she said: ‘That just made my day, can I give you a hug?’. Well, I said yes, of course! A space can be pretty, food can be really nice and staff amazing but this place combines everything together to make it perfect! Oh and they have Portuguese wine!

Coming from New York, and I’ve been in Brighton 3 times, this is by far the best place I have dined-in at. Food was amazing! I had the Haloumi Burger, recommended by the waitress. I ordered a bottled beer which turned out to be warm, but I had very efficient service that made my experience superb. Being from the states, I only know of cask beer being cold, so this was my mistake. The décor is beautiful and every little detail from the sugar canisters to the the paper liner that the burger rested on was beautiful. Well done! Will definitely come back!!!

Bill’s at Lewes… always been a favourite stop when in town. Has really progressed from a plain lil’ ol’ flower shop some years ago. Nicely situated by Lower Cliffe car park and pretty central to most shop. Mind you… bit of hike up the hill to the main road. I’m hoping they will get a stair lift put in!!!

Bills is a true Brighton gem! Though this is part of a small chain, the Brighton Bills feels undeniably local, with a really cosy, farmhouse feel. The interior is spectacular– with walls adorned with jam jars and other condiments and things hanging from the ceiling. The space is vast and the ceiling high and yet there is a cosiness to the place despite this! It feels small and intimate, no matter how busy or empty. I’ve been here a few times for food and coffee and have been so impressed! The food is truly delicious– I’ve tasted the brownie and the breakfast bread basket, both of which I would eat over and over again! :) The bread basket was full of wonderful little treats– too many for one person alone, really– and came to a reasonable £4, which really impressed me. The staff are delightful in here and they cater to different diets happily enough it seems, with gluten free brea available on request. This is the perfect little place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or coffee! Whatever you fancy– come to Bills! You’ll be finding me in there a lot more now that I’ve sampled their breakfasts!!!

The moment I walked in here, I was overwhelmed by all the CONDIMENTS! I am a self-proclaimed Condiment Queen, and make it a habit to buy a new and exciting condiment(sweet or savoury, I don’t discriminate) whenver I visit somewhere new. On my inaugural trip to Brighton, it seems like I had struck condiment gold. Two massive floor-to-ceiling shelves lining the walls as you walk in. Aubergine pickle and cherry jam, done! But I wasn’t here just to shop and ogle condiments, oh no. I was hear for a late breakfast /early lunch(not brunch though, funny that). What a great and extensive menu. On telling them I’m gluten free they happily went off, marked all items that were GF, then talked me through it. I have to say, the staff were so helpful and kind! I pipped for the avocado and prawn salad, and they put regular non-fried prawns in it for me(as opposed to fried, which would have flour and that niggly gluten). It was delicious! Nicely spiced with tabasco, and great for a light lunch. The banana and berry pancakes opposite me looked delicious too(check out the photos). The seating lay out was spacious, with big benches and tables of various sizes. It’s really big inside and seems like they go from breakfast to lunch to bubbly-cocktails seamlessly. It’s hard to describe inside, it’s like a big, open, light not«barn» per se(no straw or farm animals) but certainly like a big farm-house kitchen, all fresh and natural and serving great food. If I’m back in Brighton I’d be more than happy to go back to Bill’s!

Muss man?
