This is a great pub in the middle of the Lanes in Brighton. It gets really busy at the weekends, so you might have to wait a small amount of time to get a table, but the combination of good food and a large selection of local Beer makes it worthwhile. The mussels came in a huge portion, but were very tasty. One of many great pubs in Brighton, but I’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Excellent bar tucked away in a side street. Small selection of local and national beers, but strong mix. Had the bangers and mash, delicious. If you want a surprise treat, try the artichoke/halloumi spring roll, you won’t regret it. Clean bathrooms and free WiFi. Friendly and very cheerful staff.

Great old British pub in the heart of Brighton’s old town. With views of the lanes and a cosy open fire it is perfect to escape the wintery chill! They have great prices for beer and I may even write another review about the good pub grub I’m about to endure!!! OMG…life changing fish and chips! Was absolutely amazing! If you’re in Brighton, you must visit this place. You won’t be disappointed!!! Love to all. X

Found this place on Unilocal. It was in the very quaint Meeting House Lane, a great spot on the corner, light and open and plenty of seating. Being Sunday we opted for the beef and chicken Sunday roasts. Both were delicious with huge helpings of vegetables all covered in mouth watering gravy. We struggled to finish ours, thoroughly enjoying every bite! Other food looked good too and they had plenty of options. A great spot!

Large open plan pub with central bar. Shepherd Neame beers ok quality. Its in need of a bit of paint and wallpaper glue but otherwise its clean and the service was good.

It was exactly what we wanted! We had been wandering the beach a November afternoon + were wanting a pint and lunch. It was the perfect stop. The food was great, the service lovely, the room comfortable and the ales were delicious + local. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Down the lanes of Brighton this pub extends away around the corner behind the bar. Plenty of beer options to keep the pub crawlers happy. Quite a dark place in the depths, and not the most comfortable in town. I would like some better places to stop in during a amble around the streets, but this will do.

Sunday Roast + Beer Festival + 2 Hungry People = Awesome We stopped in during our trip at the end of September and this immediately became our«go-to» spot. In addition to the great beers on tap they were also having a sausage festival that was fantastic. Above all, the staff were remarkably in tune with what they were serving — from the food to the drinks. Friendly, funny, and helpful. I couldn’t ask for much more in a gastropub.

This place became my temporary local while in Brighton/Hove, and I was here about 5 – 6 times. The food is great and not too expensive. Their Sunday roast is really something special, and the portion was enormous. It’s clear that the chef takes great pride in his or her work. In addition to the excellent quality of the food, the service is also a big reason for the 5-star rating. The bartenders/servers were all attentive, friendly and very informed. It’s clear that they too take great pride in their work. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and I can’t recommend the Bath Arms highly enough.

Without a doubt The Bath Arms offers the best Sunday roast in Brighton. The starters are great and very tasty however you do run the risk of not being able to finish your roast! There is always a really nice cosy atmosphere in here, the staff are very friendly and are eager to please.

This is a great pub situated in the middle of the Lanes. It has a traditional feel and is a decent size — not too small that you can’t get a table, but not too large that it feels impersonal. The bar staff were super friendly and even chased us down the street when my friend left her iPhone on the table! I haven’t sampled the food so can’t comment on this but it’s a great place to stop off for a drink any time of the day.

This is a pleasant pub in the heart of the south laines, it has a very cosy and friendly atmosphere and is good to go to for a few laid back drinks after dinner as well as being a great place to go if you want to catch up with friends and have a laugh. It’s got quite a traditional, warmly pub interior and comfortable sofas to sit on. The only thing I would say is it can get rather crowded sometimes, especially during the winter! It’s got that wintery vibe to it. I’ve never eaten anything before, although I did notice they do quite appertizing sounding lunches as well as the standard pub snacks. Prices are fairly average. — Overall this is a lovely and cosy pub to go.

I came here after a recent dinner in the South Laines, admittedly it was a Thursday, but despite being just gone 10 o’clock, there wasn’t a pub in sight that was open. Then came the Bath Arms. I had a friend who worked here and always said how good it was, I was never tempted though, on account of the slighlty ‘old man’ looking appearance. I will admit I was wrong though, this is a charming and relaxing pub that allows you to have a quiet drink in a nice area. Drinks are quite expensive though, my bottle of red cost £15.95, which is a little bit more than you’d expect.

I’ve crawled out of this pub on many occasions. It has a really nice atmosphere inside even if it does get a little over crowded now and again. The décor is really comfortable and cosy and in my opinion its better to head there in the daytime for a spot of lunch. They sell some good ales in here and a good range of lagers too and the staff, although not memorable, are nice and friendly. With its location right in the center of the laines, its easy to see why this place is so popular.

A cosy, traditional pub in the heart of the Lanes. The Bath Arms does not have anything particularly unusual about it, but it does all the things a good pub should do. Good, inexpensive food, a hearty atmosphere and a good range of drinks. For those who like real ale(I don’t, but some friends do!), they always seem to have at least one option available). Food is available in the evenings as well as lunchtimes all week — something worth remembering as many Brighton pubs seem only to do lunchtime food. The place tends to get fairly busy at weekends, but rarely claustrophobically so, and it’s not usually too hard to find a seat. There is a good range of different sized tables to suit the size of your group. Of course, the best thing about the place is the giant jenga, and dodging its falling bricks as you walk past!

Before I’d actually set foot in the Bath Arms, I imagined it was similar to the Font: a large, characterless pub, with cheap 2 for 1 meals and not much else going for it! As a result of this erroneous lumping together, I ignored this pub for a few years. Finally, a friend of mine announced that she was holding her birthday party here and I was forced to swallow all of my preconceived imaginings, and give the place a go. Turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong… the Bath arms is actually a really lovely pub! The interior is cosy and traditional– lots of dark wood and candlelit tables. We had an area reserved, and although things got pretty rowdy(as birthdays sometimes do), the staff were so friendly and had seemingly endless patience for our drunken antics! Even though the place was busy, we never waited long to be served and the drinks were reasonably priced. I now often pop in for a drink if I’m eating out in the South Lanes… highly recommended!

This is one of my fave pubs in the Laines, its situated right centre of a maze of the alleys and looks so cute in the evenings with the seating outside and the fairy lights hanging between the buddings. The pub inside is pretty traditional with red décor, plenty of wooden tables and golds. The Sunday roasts are worth a try and they have a gorgeous regular traditional Brit menu with stews etc. There always a really nice atmosphere which is down to both the über friendly and helpful staff the varied clientele. Its really popular with after work drinkers and is always rammed at the weekend, in a good way. Its a must see if your in the Laines as its always an enjoyable experience.
