What on earth has happened to this place?
The staff were not interested and the food was absolutely awful. It was not expensive but not being able to make Cod and Chips for £11 was a disgrace. Two attempts were made, the second was better but what a disaster.
Surely it cannot be hard to find a Cook (I will not say Chef) that can do basic meals. I was hungry and they ruined my afternoon. I took my Nephew with me to show him the area. H

I’ve only been to this pub a few times, but each one has ended in me leaving with a smile on my face. This is very much a cosy, local pub — with warm and rich décor and a dimly lit interior.
The pub is deceptively large actually, stretching back far, with a rooms off rooms and a hidden bar right at the bar. They also have a nice outdoor seating area, right in the middle of the bustling south laines, which is perfect for people watching.
The drinks are pretty standard pub fare here, I’d say, so no complaints there! The staff, too, are lovely and accommodating. They often have live music playing, which is wonderful and adds a great atmosphere to the place.
This is a great spot to just chill with a pint and catch up with some mates. If you’re after a relaxed and comfortable vibe, in the very heart of town — this is for you!
