Great sunny Saturday in buzzing Brighton. We decided as family to go out for lunch at, All Bar One, been there many times, usually for cocktails /drinks with friends, which I would recommend, however, yesterday, a very different story. It took a while to be served, all staff looked ran off their feet, all were accepting customers at same time and I guess food and beverage orders too, must have been very stressful in the kitchen ! No one seemed in charge, you had a member of staff with arm all bandaged up, who should not have been continuously carrying plates full of food or drink trays on that arm. Slightly chaotic. It took over 45 mins for our food to come through, one main meal and a starter. I asked several times when the food was coming, all I got was, soon. Overall it took, litres of water whilst waiting for food, and two drinks previously. I complained about how long it has taken to be served, all I was offered was complimentary drinks but declined as we already had too much fluid, all we wanted was food please! Eventually, after much arguing, and no customer service, £5.00 off our bill. A quick lunch outdoors took in total 1 hr and 20mins. Not sure will return to eat, as quite pricey and of average quality, Brighton is very competitive and food wise does not stand out. However, as. I stated earlier, they are very good for drinks and cocktails. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

A nice member of the All Bar One chain. We booked a space for a group to meet up and it was nicely set to the side of the main space. This made for a much easier evening as people were able to locate the rest of the group without trouble — even those coming in from abroad with limited English. Yay! The bar prices are silly and the food isn’t anything notable, but it’s a solid spot to stop and enjoy a drink or two.

I don’t really do All Bar Ones, as a general rule. I’ve never found them to offer an experience, a food or a drink I couldn’t find somewhere else, so I’ve mostly avoided them. However, my family wanted to take a break after walking all over Brighton when we came to the coast one day, so we sat down and played a few rounds of UNO over a couple sodas and pints. They wouldn’t allow us inside because of my brothers, and asked us to leave the patio session at 6pm on a Thursday, claiming children weren’t allowed, even though other children were still in the area. Not really sure what that was about, but it doesn’t really add anything to my opinion. Definitely, I know for a fact that you can find better places in Brighton, even if all you want is a pint in the Pavilion area. Just find an alley in the Lanes, and you’ll be much more satisfied.

I liked this place, having arriving in Brighton on a Saturday night and not reserving any tables, I stumbled upon All Bar One, situated near the Royal Pavilion. The Waitress was nice and the food was good too. Its very good value for money and there’s a good choice of food which will no doubt appeal to most people. Its not exquisite dining but its reasonable and i would definitely go back to this place again

Not a huge fan of All Bar One if I’m honest. It’s typical of a chain pub in that it lacks atmosphere and character. The doormen seem like an unnecessary step(for a pub/restaurant). On one occasion my friend’s glass literally fell apart in his hand. Staff weren’t particularly apologetic considering the potential consequences of this, luckily no harm was done. Cocktails are cheap but take an age to make, plus the quality isn’t that great. I haven’t eaten here but feedback I’ve had from friends is that it’s decidedly average. It does have a nice outside area right next to the Pavilion gardens so may be a better option for a lunchtime drink. It has a bit of a cheap and nasty vibe about it, with sticky tables and empty glasses left around. There are plenty of better options for a drink in Brighton, this one’s best avoided.

I swung by All Bar One for lunch the other day whilst visiting Brighton for the day. Adjacent to the Royal Pavilion, All Bar one boasts an enormous front terrace which was perfect for an afternoon lunch and a pitcher of Pimms. Although All Bar One is part of a semi-large UK chain of restaurants, it has a rather independent feel to it(apart from the printed menus/brochures which seem overly commercialized). Really nice interiors with lots of exposed brick and wood. Check out the chandelier made up of wine glasses(see pic). Service was friendly and spot-on. The food way surpassed my expectations both for price and quality. This is not your average chain. The duck salad was fantastic, though i wished I ordered the steak sandwich. And of course paired with some Pimms and the warm sun, you have the making of a great lunch.

Trendy restaurant, but not exactly family-friendly(when we arrived with a very well-behaved 10 year old, we were warned by our waiter that we’d have to leave by 9pm as children are not allowed after then!) Service was slow(seemed like there was only one server for the entire place!); the wine was good, but the food a little lacking for the price. Atmosphere was nice– on the trendy side… seating was comfortable.
