Amazing! We are from USA and looking for a good steak. Look no further. This is IT! Amazing food, staff, and views! Please don’t leave the restaurant without trying the beef dipping sauce, you will regret it.

Went there once before leaving the UK with friends. Excellent service and food! Had the ribs and lobster mac n cheese. Well worth the price. Great quality food and excellent atmosphere. Will definitely return when I go back to the UK.

As an American who now lives in Great Britain’s lovely Black Country, it has been an absolute struggle to find a decent steakhouse that agrees with my taste, that is, until now. My 16oz Rib Eye, medium rare, with beef drippings sauce, was divine. I cant say enough about it, so I wont try. My starter was lovely. The service was good. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the view of the lake was perfect for our evening dinner. Oh, and as icing on the cake, a perfectly made Long Island Ice Tea. Great experience, loved it, will be back.

Stellar! Like seriously good! Amazing attentive service. I came here for lunch with my friends in Birmingham and I was very impressed. First I asked for tea because it was freezing and I needed something warm, the host actually brings me my tea in the cutest kettle with a side of the most delicious biscuits(cookies) I loved them so much he brought me more complementary biscuits! For the appetizer I had the BBQ wings they had the most perfect charred taste, for dinner I had the small steak and chips. The steak was ok a tiny bit over cooked but edible and good flavor. For desert we ordered a tasting plate with a brownie, ice cream and pudding it was so decadent I couldn’t even finish it! When I’m back in Birmingham I will definitely be back here.

So I have been using Miller and Carter for years now, whenever I feel like a good juicy well cooked steak in a beautiful fitted out restaurant Miller and Carter is the first place that jumps into my head. The main one I use is located in the mailbox, it’s located on the top tier of restaurant in the mailbox so it benefits from beautiful views of the canals(more than Venice ;) haha) and a lovely outdoor sitting area for either drinks during the summer or if your a smoker. The restaurant at the mailbox is a good size plenty of seating, the only downside to it if I had to be really picky is the entrance, if your there on a busy weekend evening and you have a lot of people turning up at the same time as people leaving the entrance becomes a bottle neck and you find yourself standing in the door way being part of the staff holding the door open for everyone or doing your best elvis moves moving and sliding your hips and body to get passed people but that’s being really picky Other than that the welcome you receive is always warm and inviting no matter what time of day you arrive. Even if you haven’t booked a table(always a good idea during the weekends– plan ahead) the member of staff on the door gives you a pretty good idea how long your going to wait. So you don’t feel like your hanging around or wasting your time. Now onto the steak! Don’t think I could ever be a veggie just because of steak haha. Everytime I have been to Miller and Carter the food is always cooked perfect never left the restaurant thinking or feeling the meal was a let down and always feel full! Price range I would put it in the medium range it isn’t to expensive and don’t come across cheap but it’s affordable to be able to go there often and not as a once in a while treat. Overall I love the place and won’t stop going there for a long time when I get my big steak urge

I’ve been here a few times now and as it’s part of a chain you kind of know what to expect. However, the finish in the building is really nice(with awesome lights — see pics) and the menu offers a good variety. There are not too many starters to choose from but what is there sounds delicious. I tried the pork strips and my foodie partner had the calamari, both great ways to start a meal before the must have being the signature steaks! I opted for a steak and ribs combo(I knew the ribs were very good!) the steak being rump, although this is obviously the cheapest cut of meat it tasted scrumptious and was cooked perfectly for me. If you want to be healthier(a little bit anyway) you can swap your fries for baby potatoes with a rocket and tomato salad, which I really recommend. The food is obviously cooked perfectly and the garnishes and accompaniments match well. Couldn’t handle a dessert this time although it was a great menu… but there will be a next time!

The Miller and Carter in Birmingham has restored my faith in service and quality — two very scarce properties these days. Our waitress was outstanding, the food was superb and the wine well-priced. Those wedges are wonderfully fresh and innovative and with steaks that were cooked to EVERYONE’S taste, what’s not to like. Will be back as soon as possible and will recommend to anyone and everyone.

Went for a ribeye, the meat was cooked to perfection, though I would’ve liked to see a little more thickness of the cut. The sauce I took, bearnaise, was rubbish though, like water and tasted a little funny. Salad, dressing and chips were awesome, that with the meat earns a 4 star rating, but some of the sides were not good at all.

I am from Houston and I would stay I know a good steak. The Steak is not bad. It is hard to find for tourist. It is at the back of the«Mail Box» The meat is little bite on the chewy, but the White Russian is great. The service is OK. Would I recommend? Since they are not too much choice, I would.

In a year when everyone in our group of friends is turning 21, this particular occasion saw us visit Miller & Carter’s at the Mailbox to kick off our celebrations. Priding themselves on their steaks, Miller & Carters have a fantastic reputation amongst those in Birmingham as one of the best spots in town. Located just off the canal, the restaurant specializes in mouth-watering steaks, aging each steak for 28 days before handing over to a group of top chefs who prepare the meat exactly to your specification. With the majority of us 20 something guys, we all opted for the steaks and enjoyed them immensely. At £15.95 for a 12oz Rump, we weren’t complaining, especially in comparison to some of the other cuts of beef. Overall, the service was top quality, the food even better, a definite 5 star rating.

As the new address close to Solihull is not yet on this website, I have decided to post my review upon the restaurants main location based within the City Centre of Birmingham, England. A very modern, upscale affair. Somewhat reminding me of Flemings, but done far better. The décor is most delightful, and helps you wonder off into a night of luxury and endulgment. A fabulous bar with many options, with bar staff willing to meet your every demand. The menu is also excellent, with a variety of delicious choices from appetizers through to the deserts. The wine list is a little sparse, but as you know, the tastes of the Exquisite C tends to be a little more demanding than others(due to me being a total wine snob!)
