Friendly and attentive service throughout our meal.
The Calzone Salami was very tasty (possibly the best one I’ve had in many years) as was the honeycomb cheesecake, whilst my wife enjoyed a seafood linguini in a rich tomato sauce and chocolate amore.

Don’t bother — go to pizza express opposite. Tasteless pizza and nothing good to redeem it. Really can’t understand why people eat here (apart from special offers — half price dining)

Ask in Berkhamsted occupies a classy looking location on the high street. From the exterior you’d be forgiven for thinking its ridiculously expensive and overpriced for what it is, however I was pleasantly surprised to see that prices are quite reasonable. Ask is similar to pizza express however the portions are slightly larger. I must say though that for all its fancy location and décor Ask doesn’t really have much of an atmosphere and it feels a bit stale when inside. That said, if you want a fairly nice evening out, in a classy looking place without too much of a price Ask is a safe bet.
