As I have said in other reviews, I am a male and therefore I have no real need to shop in here or to even really call in that often if I’m honest. I have called in on a couple of occassions with girlfriends and once with my sister and I can only agree with my friend Tia in her review in that this is basically the definition of cheap and cheerful. The quality isn’t great but they’re so cheap that you can justify buying them and only wearing them once or twice. The staff never left me feeling that they were too bothered or interested in me being in the shop but this just added to the overall cheap and cheerful feel about this shop. Not really for me or any of the ladies in my life.

Quiz is kinda cool. It is a really cheap clothes shop which seems to specialise in dresses, skirts and all things girlie and glittery. I personally have never bought anything from here as alot of the stuff looks a bit cheap. However the prices reflect this so I guess I can’t complain. Its a popular shop with students and school kids as its cheap as chips and a step up from Primark but not quite on par with any of the high street brands like River Island or New Look.

For my girlfriend’s 21st birthday she wanted to get a «really nice dress» because we were having a big family party and all her friends and family would be coming and there would be lots of photos taken… Or so she said. But because I’m a lovely boyfriend, I decided I’d go with her and traipse along… what a bad idea this turned out to be. She went into every single woman’s shop we passed and had to try at least one dress in it but we still couldn’t find the ‘one.‘ Women reading this are swaying, going«yeah I know what you’re talking bout sister!» whilst men reading this are going«poor guy». Anywanys as the day passed on she came across a shop that she’d never heard of before called ‘Quiz.’ It was full of party dresses and glitter and shiny stuff that women get excited over. I was just happy because it had a seat I could sit down on. Five minutes later she found a red sparkly dress which she fell in love with and with a price tag of £30 I’ll admit it looked really really nice. She goes to this shop quite regular now and says it’s a great place if you’re looking for a party dress.

I generally don’t tend to shop in here, although Quiz does sell some nice clothes. I tend to go for the more ‘alternative’ look and as Quiz generally sells mainstream fashion it is unusual I’ll find something I’m after in here. Saying that though if you’re tastes aren’t as odd as mine, or if you’re just after a pretty wee dress or the likes then often you could do a lot worse than shopping in here. The prices here are around the same as most other High Street stores, in fact they’re probably a good bit cheaper compared to some places, so if you’re on a budget but fancy something more upmarket than Primark, Quiz would be quite a good choice for a nosy around to check out their latest wares. The staff are standard, not cheeky but they don’t exactly go out of their way to help you either. All round average shopping experience, more often than not I’ll leave empty handed.

Although I’m not really a fan of the clothes in Quiz and could never see myself buying anything from here, it would suit a lot of girls looking for something cheap n cheerful to wear out of a Saturday night. They offer really affordable clothes, most stuffs under £20. The clothes aren’t of a high quality but if you’re only looking to wear it out a few times then you don’t need to spending loads on something that will last you a lifetime. The staff in this store look a bit bored and wouldn’t go out of their way to be friendly to you. i can see why other people are fans, just not for me.
