Inside the restaurant it was very modern and very well decorated and detailed as even the napkins were very nice. The waitresses were rather slow and seemed quite snotty. The way they were dressed which was their own clothes made it a bit hard to identified if they worked there as they didn’t even have name badges on or anything that would identify them as staff. The only give away was them carrying plates every so often. When observing that a customer had an empty bottle and also glass they took the bottle away without offering a second drink. The variety of food was good although most foods were strange. I had a burger and it was ok. I also had their coleslaw which was not pleasant what so ever as it was sour and had to much vinegar in it. The food was not worth the price it was as it wasn’t very good quality. Over all the only thing i actually liked and enjoyed was the bacon and the decorations of the restaurant.

Average food and service. The staff were polite enough, although I wasn’t offered a second drink despite sitting throughout my meal with an empty glass. Wouldn’t be adverse to eating here again, but I may not suggest it; I would have expected better for the price we paid.

I’ve been here for drinks, dinner and in between. This place has a nice atmosphere, it’s laid back and there is a good vibe overall. So I would give it a 4⁄5. The food however is not great. I’ve had the burger and while it was edible, it was not enjoyable. If you are near the area and looking for place for a drink — this could be an option to consider

My husband and I popped in here for a late lunch while visiting Bath. I really loved the atmosphere and our server was attentive and friendly. We had some deliciously tart lemonade and two lovely meals. I ordered a truly tasty mozzarella and pesto panini and my husband had an equally yummy burger. The atmosphere is what brought us in, but the food is what will make us stop in again the next time we’re in Bath.

The Cosy Club can be very popular so it’s always got a a good vibe– just don’t assume you’ll get a table for dinner if you haven’t booked! It’s another manifestation of the Loungers group, so the food follows that theme with tapas, burgers and other ‘casual’ dining options. Burgers I’ve has here before were good, as were desserts. I’ve come here a few times with friends and family because it’s quite baby and elderly friendly– there’s a lift at the bottom so no need to take the stairs. Tea and coffee is all pretty good, with cake and service(usually) with a smile. As with other loungers the décor tends towards the quirky and eccentric, but with sofas and armchairs in the front lounge area(move to the back if you want to dine) it does live up to its ‘Cosy Club’ name. And last but not least, there’s a pretty substantial balcony from which you can watch the world do its shopping.

Average food and slow service. Had to remind to bring our drinks and table wasn’t cleaned after we finished eating for quite a while.

I came to Cosy Club for dinner and drinks with Julia D and friends. As it was an unseasonably hot night we sat out on the terrace which looks over the newly built section of Bath city centre. The food was good, I has a classic burger which was cooked just as I like it. The others had burgers and chicken Caesar salad which looked great. The drinks menu had a number of local ciders along with the usual selection of beers and wine. All in all a good place to go whilst in Bath.

I’ve been here a few times with friends for morning coffee(just right), with my husband for a light lunch(very reasonably priced and delicious paninis), and with children for cold drinks one sunny afternoon. The inside is a fun and quirky mix of tables and bars, sofas and stools, while the outside seating area is perfect for a bit of fresh air and people watching in the Southgate square below. The service has varied from attentive and very friendly to a little inexperienced, but I’ve always had an enjoyable time. Good atmosphere.

Had a works Christmas party here and it was unusual to say the least. The party booker obviously hadn’t read the menu properly and for what we were charged I expected better quality. Soggy bbq chicken wings, shredded pork that looked like cat food and overcooked salmon on slimy leeks. Only saving grace were the bar staff but once again I had to shout to get served over larger groups. We were a large party and squeezed in, luckily we all get on as there was no room to breathe. Defnitely not worth another visit over a seasonal period but have heard good things on standard days.

Great place to rest and have a coffee/hot chocolate or glass of wine after /during a shopping trip in Bath. Very cool big and comfortable sofas. So much nicer than Starbucks, Costa and the other chain cafes. Did not have food so can’t comment on that.

Not terrible, but by no means great. Initially when you walk in all looks pretty good. Nice retro design, cool furniture, good lighting, a terrace and even some vintage leather sofas. The menu however is vast and that always makes me nervous. I order a coke, but the waitress brings me a cola. Not even a Pepsi, just some copycat fizzy and waters stuff. so i swapped that for an OJ and lemonade. My friend ordered a Mediterranean platter, which by all accounts looked good. It was easily enough for two and the selection they had picked came as expected. I doubt anything on the platter was home made though. In fact I’d put my house on it. The felafel’s were defiantly frozen. shortly after their food arrived me burger came(with cheese and mushrooms). The mushrooms that were ordered in the burger and that I expected to be sliced and in the bun, were actually cold and on the side. That just weird… The burger itself was pretty dry, the bun was a kind of hard, stale texture and the fries could have done with another 2 – 3 mins in the oil. Yeah, looking back it was pretty crap. I didn’t complain because the friends I was with are a pretty timid couple and they’d find it awkward. I just won’t go back. Shame really because that end of town needs somewhere good to eat but it’s not going to be this place.

Sometimes when you want a bacon sandwich you don’t want it messed around with, you don’t want ciabatta or sour dough, you don’t want, as one restaurant in Bath ridiculously used to do, salad on the side with vinegarette and an orange slice. You want crisp bacon, papy white bread and ketchup. Good coffee too. Cosy Club serves just that with style. Don’t be put off by the name or the entrance, its a beautifully turned out bar/restaurant with a terrace looking out over Southgate.
