This is a typical mainstream chain video game store. Prices are generally about £2-£4 cheaper than the rrp, which is always really high.
Stock wise they generally hold the top 40ish games for each current generation of console. Game as a large retailer suffer the same problem as many large chains in that a brand new triple a title, will be understocked when brand new, and the price bumped up to the full rrp.
They do stock a wide selection of own brand accessories, which offers cheaper and normally less quality products than the official accessories.
The staff are always rushed, and the service here is below what you would get from an independent (of which there is now none left in basingstoke). The staff are able to answer basic questions but get thrown or just plain make it up if presented with a real issue, or something thats not mainstream gaming.
Returns and faulty games /​equipment — Personally ive never managed to get something faulty swapped without the managers approval, which comes with a lecture about how to use it.
They have moved into the second hand game market, but pricing is quite often above the market value, with lower than mv offered for in credit for the item, and a higher than mv price for the item.
All in all its ok if you need something right now, and cant wait. But apart from that other stores are cheaper, and online can offer serious savings on their prices.

A good little store, with a decent range of products. It’s a bit cramped, especially when queues build up and block off half of the floor space, so you’ll have to be quick with the elbows to make your way through it, but it’s worth it for the selection of products and the staff who seem to know what they’re doing and tend to be keen gamers themselves. They always advertise stock shortages clearly so you know what you’re getting. A good place.

This GAME is located on the lower concourse inside the Festival Place shopping centre and is reasonably sized for your gaming needs. They offer a range of games for most consoles including Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation, PC, DS and PSP and in some cases do stock games for the older consoles. The store can get quite packed with people trying to find bargains, but otherwise is generally quite well spaced out.
They also sell accessories for most consoles and do an exchange system where you can return games or consoles for alternatives or cash.
The staff here all seem very knowledgeable and helpful if you need advice when making purchases.

Great place for all your gaming needs. I usually don’t buy new games the day they come out, I tend to wait a while and buy a pre-​owned copy at a greatly reduced cost — this place is perfect for that. They nearly always have a pre-​owned copy of the game that I’m looking for and can always offer advice on games.
Good stock levels, great staff, centrally located. Enough said!

this is a good store for all you gamers out there, the staff are very helpful and know what they are talking about. the selection of games here is quite large and they also have a section where you can buy cheaper used games, we do this for our kids and we have never had a game that does not work yet!, they also sell the consoles but dont always have good deals on but if you are on a tight budget you can get a second hand one. the shop does get very busy at weekends as all the kids go game hunting. they also do a reward card here where you earn points everytime you buy here which helps you get money off future purchaces, overall a great shop

situated in the shopping centre in fleet this store is easy to find.
its a really good size with plently to choose from.
They cater for all sorts of different computer consoles and have so many games my other half has to spend ages choosing! They also sell accessories and gift vouchers etc. I find the staff are friendly and extremely helpfull, i have returned faulty games and a consolw before with no bother.
The store although quite cramped is neat and tidy.
