Amazing coffee and very good breakfast. We’ll definitely be back. The pumpkin spice coffee is delicious as is the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and spinach. Service is prompt and polite.

Breakfast and coffee to die for. Perfect location and lovely ambiance. Don’t miss if you’re visiting and make sure to make a stop if you live here. Try the sweet potato crepes.

This place rocks! My friend and I wanted to eat something awesome and man it was delicious. I had the 3pancakes with strawberries and bananas and she had a wrap. The service was on point and so was the waiter. It didn’t hurt he was cute either, lol! Superb restaurant. Thumbs Way Up.

My wife and I were looking for a late breakfast on a Sunday after getting off a cruise. We stumbled upon Caficultura thanks to Unilocal. There was a bit of a wait outside which can sometimes be a good thing especially when there is a beautiful park across the street. After being seated in the back on high top tables we had coffee which was espresso/lattes which was very good. We also had a very friendly server. We sat near the fruit prep area and we could see how fresh the fruit was and how good the food coming out of the kitchen looked. The wife had the banana pancakes and eggs which were very good. I had food on the boat so I only got a small plate of scrambled eggs which came with Avocado which was very very good. I would definitely go back here and try something a little more adventurous then scrambled eggs next time.

The Coffee was 5+ stars. Possibly the best cup I’ve ever had. Don’t you dare go to Starbucks when this is an option. The breakfast food was good, but if not for the coffee, I would only have given 4 stars.

Yum! This place is upscale and has the wait to prove it. If you can snag a spot outside overlooking Plaza Colon, do it. It’s not always easy to get light, fresh food in Old San Juan. I appreciate the lighter fare here. On my last visit I had a seasonal fruit salad with yogurt and honey and of course, a café con leche. This place is always jumping and for a good reason. It’s damn tasty.

This place is great! We only had 45 mins before we had to leave and were worried it may take too long to be served. We got our DELISH coffee and our food in 10 – 15 mins. Eggs were fresh and every bread is so amazing.

Caficultura is a «must-eat» spot when visiting Old San Juan! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. We came hear on a recommendation from a friend and weren’t disappointed. For it being such a popular breakfast spot, the wait to get in wasn’t too bad. Definitely check it out, satisfaction guaranteed.

I went to brunch here for the first time while in San Juan. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice and inside of the restaurant was really pretty. They seated us in 20 min even though we were a group of 11. The servers were however a little slow in getting us the food but that could have been because we were such a large group. I ordered the vegetable scramble and my sister got the mocha pancakes. I thought the veggie scramble was awesome! It was really great and the portion was the perfect size for me. The mocha pancakes were ok, not something special like I thought they would be and you couldn’t really get the coffee flavor. I tried some of the coconut french toast and it was also great if you wanted something that tastes topical but still gives you the satisfaction of a brunch item. Overall I would come again!

Wonderful breakfast!!! Which I almost missed because one of the servers who anti-greeted us left me feeling like I wish I was never born… SHE must’ve had a horrible morning cause she was just foul!!! Let me state I’ve been a server for years so i understand the stress of being a server but never did I have a puss on my face like this feather earring wearing piece of work! So that is why 4 stars… The food was worth PUSSFACE! Which another server finally came to our table cause for some reason only known to feather earring lady she decided to ignore us… In short: food AMAZING!!! Coffee AMAZING! Service… very nice IF you don’t have an experience with PUSSFACE!

Great breakfast at a convenient location if you don’t mind all the tourists. I got the cappuccino and the toast with coconut and pineapple flakes and it was delicious. I am not a huge French toast fan, but this one I would recommend.

Food was great, restaurant was clean and had adorable decorations, and the location was conveniently located next to our hostel, Posada San Francisco. I ordered the mallorca sweet bread ham and cheese sandwich. I didn’t expect much as I don’t usually like mixing sweet and savory, but this was absolutely delicious! Melted right in my mouth. My friend ordered the French toast with coconut and pineapple marmalade. It was delicious as well. She also said she liked the coffee! However, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for the service. While the staff was friendly, it took 30 minutes and 5 reminders for them to serve my friend her coffee… the rest of the food followed about 10 minutes after, but we were displeased, especially since we were in a hurry. Caficultura is supposed to be more of a quick café then 1+ hour sit down brunch, and everyone around us got their orders first. This might just be a mix up with our table though. I will definitely go back on another trip to Old San Juan and hope that the service issue was only a one time anomaly!

Based on at least 3 visits, 2 for breakfast, I give Cafecultura a solid 5 stars for breakfast /brunch. It is located very close to the entrance of Fort St. Cristobal, if you’re doing the tourist thing. Highly recommended for breakfast /brunch. We haven’t tried dinner here so no opinion /recommendation there.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. First of all, they have GREATACLOL. BUT… The food is wonderful & the service is too. I had this brioche French toast with shaved coconut & a fresh homemade pineapple marmalade that was to die for AND beautifully presented. Last year we were here in the afternoon for a snack/late lunch & we loved it then too. The servers are also extremely polite. I can’t wait to come back again & give this little place the highest recommendation.

What a cute place! A perfect brunch spot with a lot of delicious coffee options. They serve breakfast all day and they have affogato! Though, I didn’t notice the affogato until after I was already stuffed full of food. Maybe next time. I ordered the coconut French toast: Thick cut Brioche with pineapple marmalade and coconut on top. I really enjoyed it. It didn’t even need syrup, though I added the syrup anyway. My husband had the salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good as well. Capers added the perfect amount of salt. Eggs were just a little underdone for my liking, but still– a great dish. I wouldn’t call the portions small, but they are pretty normal sized. I was able to polish off my meal with little effort. Service was great too.

Aside from the nice atmosphere, Caficultura isn’t worth a visit. Food and Drinks: –Coconut French Toast(2⁄5) — we didn’t like the jam that they paired it with nor the texture of the french toast– too rough for my taste –Eggs Benedict(1⁄5) — one of the best reasons to get a benedict is so you could cut the poached eggs in half and watch the yolk pour onto your dish. We couldn’t do that because the eggs were overcooked. –Sausage in Red Wine(5⁄5) — Okay, you win here. The sauce was so on point, I just wanted to scoop it up with all the bread they provided and eat just that. -$ 5 mocha and a simple black coffee. They charged for a refill on the simple black coffee. Eh(2⁄5) –Also, this place is pricey. More like $$$ than $$.

Fantastic locally grown and roasted coffee, coupled with good food and service equals a five star review. Came here on a Sunday am around 10 am and the place was pretty packed. After being told by the very nice hostess that we would need to wait, she made sure we were provided the first table for three that became available. I had their iced coffee with milk which was amazing. Quite possibly one if the best iced coffees I have ever had to date, which is quite a statement. They do sell coffee, which is a blend of four local beans, but it is a bit steep for $ 22, for less than a pound. Pancakes with rum bananas was good. Pancake could have been a bit more buttery and crisp, but the rum bananas made up for it. Overall, very happy with this place. I do wish I noticed the adffogato they offered, but I guess it just an excuse to return. Would definitely return and highly recommend!
