Seriously a shame. Great view but food and service. Nothing we had was good. Mofongo was dry, hard and stale. Chuleta tasted like oil no seasoning. Service is bad and slow. Several tables left during our stay. Owner does not know how to handle complaint. He said he only had one chef. We saw the kitchen and there were three people cooking. Avoid this place at all costs! After sending our food back we waited another half hour for our bill.

Bad service although very kind people. We were a group of 10 and everyone got the food at different times. 2 people finished eating, then another 2 were served, another 3 served;after 7 people finished eating. Another 3 were served. Very poor service and not great food. Its unfortunate for such an amazing spot and great ambience.

Buena comida, buena vista, buena atencion, y un paisaje divino! Este lugar, just a lado de la carretera ofrese un super ambiente. Great food, great view, good service, and an amazing view! This place, right off the side of the road, offers an amazing ambiance.

Went to this place last night. My friend ordered the passion fruit Mojito. For appetizers we order the chorizo en vino and the tiras de churrasco. Both were good — not amazing. For dinner I ordered the chicken stuffed with prosciutto and manchego cheese, which came with a yuca mash. The yuca mash was the winner of the night. So delicious and tasty. Service was very good and accommodating.

Food is ok, nothing to really rave about but the staff is super friendly and the view is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

The service here like most of the high end establishments we visited in PR was lacking. There were only 4 – 5 tables with 2 – 3 waitstaff who would disappear, and who were lackadaisical at best. The food was good, no complaints, but when the service is neglectful it can ruin a good experience.

We looked on Unilocal as we were driving back to San Juan from West coast and were almost at the front door of Marimar. Had been driving for 3 hours and this was the perfect stop. Because it was small plates, we ordered the Chorizo Tamarindo and the Tiras Churassco to start. Oh my gosh the flavors were amazing. Then jus had to try the Conch Empanadillas! Loved this place!! Small, casual, Caribbean view, plus great food. Ahhhhhhhhhh, and the service was excellent. Really worth the trip. Favorite so far in PR. And 5 stars for a gorgeous sunset !!!

Absolute gem that we found on our way back from Gilligan Island. Since its on a quite busy high way it’s easy to miss. So stay tuned when you drive and don’t pass it. It’s right on the coast along the side where farmers have fruit trucks. Best thing about this restaurant: the view! It’s a million dollar view that they have there. In addition to comfortable set up of chairs, tables, open bar, lounge chairs and outside sitting island this goes to the very top of my list places to eat in Puerto Rico. Prices: excellent well priced drinks $ 6 to $ 7 for mixed cocktails and food pricing attached in a picture below. Waiters speak English too which is great! Hope you get to visit this place))).

After spending the day at the beach we stopped in at Marimar on the way back to Ponce. The night before I met a man named Don Q and got to know him intimately… alas I have really failed you Unilocalers by not taking pictures of this place and the food. I spent most of the time here hating myself and wishing I was able to enjoy it more. Marimar is set along the ocean in a long row of other seafood restaurants. When the locals we were staying with told me they wanted to take me for some fish stew I envisioned a hole in the wall place set in someone’s kitchen with some fabulous stew that would cure me of my hangover… this was completely wrong(although the fish broth I had did help). Atmosphere — amazing. A great deck space over the water, white couches to sprawl out on and a beautiful bar. The bathrooms were also gorgeous! Food — again, I wasn’t eating much but I did manage a few bites along with my fish broth and mofongo bites. Others ordered shrimp empanadillas, conch empanadillas(I managed one bite and wow!), cod fish pieces, burgers and steak on top of mofongo. Everything looked amazing! The fish broth was perfect for my needs, the mofongo topped with steak made my mouth water and even the burgers looked great. Service — the food came out perfectly, not too slow and not too fast to worry if things weren’t fresh. The burgers were split in half and put on separate plates as 4 people ordered 2 burgers. The waitress came by to check on the drink status frequently. Prices — you’re looking at about $ 20 a head here… perfect pricing considering the location and how great everything is! I can’t say enough good things about this place, and watching the sunset from the deck is the best time of day to really enjoy it!
