Little beach right on the coast. The beach has public restrooms, a bar, a food shack, and a little store which sells things like souvenirs and floaters. The drinks were good, but not anything special. Their speciality is a frozen coconut with rum. The bar was a typical outside bar, but the bartender is EXTREMELY slow. They had Icies for the kids along with many food options. Since I am gluten free, I could only have the rice which was super cheap(about a $ 1-$ 1.50) and super yummy! I could’ve eaten it all day. As for the beach itself, I did not go swimming, but my cousin went surfing and said the beach/water was great. There are very few tables with umbrellas, so I advise you to bring your own. There is a huge parking lot with an mr softy ice cream truck.

Crazy waves at times, but really chill. Lots of cool stones, branches, and wildlife as you walk the sands. I wouldnt go in the water past my ankles. Of course, I’m kind of a conservative guy. Def makes for some great photos. Make sure to visit HUSHMARTINI lounge when out there.

Great beach, very family friendly but could also be dangerous due to the currents. Overall a great beach with many local bars near by and a lot of night life activity. Many music groups perform at night and it’s overall a fun experience. The beach is a percentage of locals and tourists. If you surf this is the right place to be to catch a decent wave.

Easy access, great beach for beginner surfers! Just watch out for the coral underneath, they scrape and leave painful cuts.

Good waves. Filthy, dirty beach. Lots of drunk people. Amazing amount of litter. Not for families. We were staying in a private home down the beach from the main strip. Garbage made it down here. Sad when you find syringes on the beach.

If you saw the Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, PR episode you know the story about the man who lost his cow through an ocean blowhole; well, this is the beach Anthony visited. On a fine Sunday afternoon we happened to stumble on this place while looking for the blowhole. Not wanting to look like tourists, we didn’t take any pictures till we were in the car leaving. THIS is where the party happens on a Sunday afternoon, and the locals start to get a little loose as the alcohol flows and the day wears on. One the ocean side is, of course, the beach. On the inland side is a strip of permanent food stands which fry the hell out of everything and chase it down with cheap beer and soda. Loud, crowded and lots of fun. This strip is a car show unto itself, with the brightly-painted lowriders and all, with pumpin’ speakers to draw attention. There’s lots of class here, much of it low, so don’t come down here if you can’t hang with that. No high maka makas here, as the Hawaiian brahs would say. The crescent beach forms some nice, clean waves — up to 15 foot or more I hear. The little kids run all around when the mommas let ‘em off their leashes. *** Party on Welfare Island *** Woohoo***
