AKA Diablo. This place was right around the corner from our hotel. We went for breakfast. ATMOSPHERE: The small, protected outdoor courtyard looks very industrial through its concrete colors and design, with devilish red napkins that carries on the restaurant’s theme. Seating is mainly regular tables, with a small bar and counter seating, and rooftop dining which I didn’t get to see. Smooth house music played in the background. BEVERAGE: Coffee — I’m not an aficionado by any means, but it tasted good to me, I’m guessing medium strength. Pancakes — The four of us shared the 3 stacker. The batter flavor was good but the inside was a tad dry but not horrible by any means. Spanish Omelette — When in Rome! I passed on the Denver style for this. The inside was stuffed with chorizo sausage and cheese, then topped with a red sauce with green peppers and tomatoes, almost like a salsa. I opted for no onions. Good flavors and the eggs were cooked perfect. SERVICE: Very welcoming, friendly, professional, and quick. OVERALL: Delicious breakfast, cool ambiance, great service. They should open past dinner as a bar but I think there’d be too many noise complaints.

This is my first review for a reason! GREAT food, great presentation. Awesome service. Nice atmosphere as well. This may be the end of the busy season, but there’s no reason there shouldn’t be more people here.

Actually closer to 4 ½ stars, but to bring the average up due the ridiculous 2 star review, I’m rounding it to 5. The Tequila shrimp is nothing short of amazing and my other half’s 156 steak was fantastic too(just as for it rarer than you actually like so they don’t overcook it). Get the tortilla soup as an appetizer, it’s actually a meal on its own. And the prices are reasonable. Also, Ricardo was a great waiter, very attentive and nice. What more could a tourist ask for? Nothing!

I would really like to at least like this place because it’s so close to my condo but I just don’t. Only have ever eaten breakfast here but based on several experiences I found the food to be pretty awful and service slow. Plus it’s on a noisy corner with some kind of sewer smell issue — ew! It is cheap though. So many better places in this area. Coco’s Kitchen is FAR better IMO.

Attentive service, engaging cuisine that mixesEuropean, Asian and Mexican flavors, in the heart of the Amapas area. Off-season they have a running Wednesday half price special.
