The quality of the sushi reflects on its price hence dont expect too much. However i love the sushi here, i would rate 7⁄10 for taste and 8.5÷10 for its price. My only problem with this place is their staff. All of them are foreign workers and they have pretty hard time communicating with customers.

To sum it up, I have had better sushi elsewhere. To be honest, the sushi off the conveyor belt I find is a bit stale. they rotate round the clock and I tried the sashimi roll once and nearly puked it out. However, I do love the tamago sushi and crabstick and mayo inari(or inaris in general!). For main I ordered the chicken dashi soba set which came on a sushi mat. The chicken pieces looked pathetic(there were only 3 – 4 small strips), a whole chunk of soba noodles garnished with a few strands of lettuce and fish roe. Came with a side soup dish too. Overall, not worth the price I paid. Wasn’t satisfying and definitely not authentic. I guess this is what you get when you visit sushi chain store outlets. I much prefer one-off Japanese restaurant gems in a street alley they usually prove to have much better quality and fresher tasting Japanese food.

If you are looking for a good and affordable place to satisfy your sushi cravings, this is the place. A friend of mine told me about this place and I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is not that big but it does have a sushi conveyer belt. The best thing about this place is that the most expensive plate of sushi is priced at RM3.50! That’s cheap; this applies for the sashimi too. The downside to the place is that they don’t have as many sushi choices, but I don’t mind. The sushi here taste pretty good considering how cheap it is. Now if you really want to take advantage of the cheap prices here, order the fried items on the ala-carte menu. It costs the same too, RM3.50. The golden egg is the best, deep fried tempura hard-boiled egg cut into half and served in a crabstick mayonnaise topping. But a must-try is the fried salmon and fried salmon skin. These are really worth it. The fried salmon comes in a pretty big portion and the salmon skin is crispy and salty. Seriously you have to order these items when you eat here. Come early though, they usually sell out by dinner time.

My first visit to Sushi Flash was with a couple of my college mates for lunch. I hadn’t had sushi in what seemed like ages, so I naturally put up this place for suggestion. It was only moderately packed by the time we got in, but we did manage to snag a table right by the conveyor belt! Their menu was pretty generic. Sushi choices were plentiful, but they rarely served up anything else. I know it would be kind of stupid to step into a sushi restaurant and order something else, but a couple of other choices would be nice. In terms of taste however, I didn’t find them that all impressive. My salmon sushi was particularly very sad looking and was just a little too chewy for me. Prices at Sushi Flash are quite reasonable though! Ranging from about RM2.50−3.50 per off the conveyor, you can be sure to have that sushi pig out you’re aching for! Hopefully by then they would have worked on their quality a bit more.

Seeing as this place is in SS15 and bpadts about cheap prices for sushi, I was excited to try it out. The staff were friendly and seated me right away and served us our cold green tea as soon as we were seated. They even left the jug there for us so we wouldn’t have to keep asking for refills. There was a good variety of different sushi on the belt so I decided to try out a few things only to be disappointed. The rice in all the sushi I tried was so dry and crusty even when I added soy sauce. The prawn on most of the sushi was also dry and was definitely not fresh. I ordered some Chicken Katsu which took ages too come but wen it finally came it proved to be a few pathetic chicken strips that tasted as though they were prepackaged.

All the sushi on the Kaiten belt here is either RM3 or RM2, which is really affordable for students, and us working people at the of the month(Lol). Apart from selections on the kaiten belt you can order from their menu. They have chawan mushi for just RM3 and various donburi and Udon sets for a very affordable RM9.90. The best dish here is definitely their shishamo, which are little fishies with fish eggs that are deep fried in batter and served with refreshing grated cucumbers and radish to even out the dryness. All these for only RM3 a plate. The servers at this Subang Jaya branch are always busy but they try their best to get your orders down tout suite.
