— Reasonable prices(RM12.50) per claypot. — Large portions with plenty of meat. — Clean and fast — Why 1 star then? Because I expected Klang-standard Bak Kut Teh but got economy-Bak Kut Teh. — If you’re looking for Klang-standard Bak Kut Teh(BKT), this is not the place to go. It looks like Klang BKT, it feels like Klang BKT, but it’s not. — Taste: feels like drinking mildly diluted Chinese tea. No strong color. Highly lacking in salt(good for health conscious people). — Smell: if you can’t smell the BKT while walking past the store, it already loses 50% of its points. — Meat: not tender enough. Lack of fat. Not cut in a correct manner which allows for tender bites. — I’m highly disappointed in the other reviews which claim this to be Klang-standard. I get it, KL people have a different taste for BKT, so it’s fine if you like this BKT, but please don’t call this Klang-standard BKT. — If you’re health conscious and want some healthy Bak Kut Teh(which is an oxymoron), this is your place. This is the equivalent of drinking a diluted latte with no cream, milk, sugar. It works, its ok-priced, it feeds the family and hungry kids. But if you got an extra 1 hour to spend in Klang, I suggest you drive to Klang.

Yu Kee is my ideal place when I’m craving for Bak Kut Teh. It is affordable and taste pretty good. In my opinion, it tastes better then most Bak Kut Teh in Klang. This restaurant is a must try if you’re a bak kut teh lover.

Yu Kee Bah Kut Teh is one of the known Bah Kut Teh joint patrons from Subang and its surrounding areas go to. Thumbs up: The convenience of its location in the local SS14 neighbourhood, quick service and not bad Bah Kut Teh. The soup here is rather herbal for me, but the thickness or consistency is just nice. They have indoor and outdoor tables and seats which accomodate small and big groups, so it’s a pretty great place to eat with your pals without having to travel far to places such as Klang or Damansara. My experience at Yu Kee is so far so good, I still go back there and would recommend it to others.

You want Bak Kut Teh but too lazy to drive all the way to Klang? No worries! There’s Bak Kut Teh in ss14 Subang Jaya! Me and my friends love eating Bak Kut Teh once in a while and we would either come here or go to other Bak Kut Teh shops. This restaurant I would say is cheaper compared to the rest. Which is probably the reason why a lot of people keeps coming here and there will be no place to seat. I kinda hate it that everytime I come here and it’s always packed. Choices of orders is either the ordinary soup mixed pork with innards or the dry pork cooked in wine. You can also order mushrooms and vegetables. And don’t forget the char kuih! Bak Kut Teh has been a long chinese tradition in Malaysia where they just chuck in pork meats and herbal soup and have a great meal with friends and family. So have one with yours too!

Yu kee is my preferred place to go for bak kut teh as it is located conveniently in subang, a place I hang out often. What differentiates them from the rest is their dry bak kut teh which is what I normally go for. It is cooked in black sauce with some chili padi so it is a little spicy but that’s what I love about it. I usually order half wet and half dry to accommodate both parties as some people prefer the wet one over the dry one. To me, their normal bkt is alright, nothing too special. If you’re willing to travel, there are far better ones out there. Parking there at night is pretty easy to find but if you’re there for lunch parking may be a problem as there’s quite a lot of office people at that area during lunch time. It gets pretty hot during lunch time as well as there’s no air con however the fast service they have gets you out of there in no time.

It’s impossible to drive all the way down to Klang all the time just for a good hearty bak kut teh meal so Yu Kee is usually my safest bet when it comes to decent bak kut teh. The corner shoplot in SS14 is located amongst other bak kut teh shops along the row but I always go back to this place as it’s fast, affordable and more importantly the soup is good. There’s always plenty of meat in one serving and you could add on additional mushrooms or taufu pok at an extra charge. They are also famous for their dry bak kut teh which is on the spicy side but I always go for their usual bak kut teh which has a strong herbal taste. The waiters here are fast and speak fluent chinese which is pretty impressive as they are foreigners. Yu Kee is always packed and if you’re coming for dinner, be sure to arrive early as they can sometimes run out of certain dishes.
