This is a pretty good mamak joint. Their food are tasty especially their nasi lemak ayam, solid 4⁄5! The price is very reasonable and the restaurant is opened 24 hours. However the place is very jam and difficult to find parking during rush hour time on weekdays.

My university days before going to Perth, I spent a lot of my time in Subang Jaya SS15 with my group of friends. Every night we would go mamak hopping and Restoran Darussalam was just one of the few that we went for supper. This mamak has two-storeys and is usually quite packed with young people. It is a hangout place and also for students to meet up and do their assignments. I have seen some but I rather how they concentrate with all the noise. Darussalam is known for their nasi lemak ayam goreng. And being a nasi lemak lover, I’d rate their nasi lemak 7⁄10. Some even compared their nasi lemak to Nasi Lemak Bumbung. I’d anytime go for Nasi Lemak Bumbung as Darussalam’s lack taste in their sambal and their fried chicken isn’t consistent. Sometimes it is good, and sometimes it is overcooked. Also, you may have to wait for your food for duration of a time because the lack of staff and poor efficiency. Having a two storey mamak without enough staff would be a lag in serving customers.

This restaurant is popular for their Nasi Lemak and of course, when I came here, I just had to try their Nasi Lemak. The chicken piece was big enough, crispy fried skin with a soft juicy and tender flesh. The sambal chilli on the side tasted so good — sweet with the right level of spicyness and the rice was really fragrant. It came with a fried egg but I asked for an extra egg as I just love my eggs. Goes so well with my iced milo. I love this place and how chilled it is. there is a huge TV screen that usually screens soccer so large groups of guys crowd around here almost every night. Actually this place is packed every time I come here and I almost always have to wait at least 10 minutes for table but so worth it. Their butter chicken is also very nice. the buttery sauce seeps into tender chicken pieces and almost melts in your mouth! Such tasty food here at Darussalam. worth the wait and the trip down for this! Enjoy :)

Darulsallam mamak is one of the most happening mamaks in the SS15 Subang Jaya area, they practically open 24 hours a day! This is the only mamak that is fully packed almost every night(even weeknights!). Other than being a famous place for people to hangout and watch football matches, they are apparently known for their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng which is their signature dish at Darulsallam. Darulsallam used to be one of my favourite places to hangout during Saturday nights as they offer a fairly nice environment to chill out with friends. I loved their Roti Kosong and their Fried Chickens couple with my usual Teh O Ais Limau as drink. If you wanted something that is more on the budget side and needed an almost 24hours food store in Subang, Darulsallam is definitely one of the better place to go to. I recommend this mamak as it is definitely one of the better mamaks in SS15 Subang Jaya.

My go to place for a sinfully delicious plate of nasi lemak ayam. The chicken is usually freshly fried if you are there at the right time. You can go up to the station and specifically choose your chicken as well. I usually do my takeaways for dinner there, since it’s as good as Village Park nasi lemak and much more closer to home. But for my next trip there, i was told to try out their butter chicken, which is supposedly just as good. And not to be forgotten, my favourite drink at Darussalam is the mango ice blended. But i can’t really comment on their service since i usually do take aways. Do note that this eatery is open 24 hours! Perfect place to get satiate your cravings. Parking is of course tricky during any time of the day.

I’m not much of a mamak person but this mamak is one of the most crowded mamak in SS15. Got to know about this mamak way back when my elder sister enters college(I just enters secondary school). She used to brought me there for their Nasi Lemak Ayam(their most famous dish). That is how she imprinted Darussalam into me. Whenever I think of mamak in SS15, Darussalam will pop out in my mind. During my college time, that’s the mamak we went most frequently. As you can see it’s still filled with college students. Though not everyone agrees that their nasi lemak is great(some of my friend doesn’t like it), but think it’s a must try if you’re looking for a mamak to hang out in SS15. Like any other places in SS15, there’s no way you’ll get a proper parking here. People usually do double parking and creative parking.

One of my favorite places for Nasi lemak ayam, their freshly fried fried chicken is what I love most about this place. I’ve been here so many times that most of the waiters here already know my order when they come to take my order! When going up the stairs, you have to pass by their frying area where they fry loads of fried chicken and the smell is enough to make you crave for it at unearthly hours. Being deep fried in a pool of oil, it is definitely not for the health conscious person but for the person who lives life eating delicious fried chicken at 12am. They do serve other normal mamak food as well and their Nasi goreng kampung is quite good although a little spicy. Something I don’t quite like is their teh o ice limau which by default they would serve the artificial type, kinda like the boh or Lipton as I prefer the normal mamak style. Lucky for me, the waiters familiar with my order also know my preference for the normal one so it’s not much of a problem to me. Although they say they’re open 24 hours, they chased me and my group of friends at about 4am so maybe they’re more like 22 hours.

I used to had insomnia before which means I could not sleep at night. When you got nothing to do when everybody else are sleeping comfortly on their bed, you just have to do something. There’s nothing I could better than eating. So I decided to go for food hunt at night just like the Dracula did but it’s not the blood that I’m looking. It’s Nasi Lemak. Yes, I’ve been craving for this meal for so long. Darussalam is the place. The first reason is they open for 24 hours per day and the second reason is they make one of the best Nasi Lemak in the area. I always choose the spot upstair as I could enjoy the scenery of SS15 at night. The Nasi Lemak arrived and I don’t wait long to dig in. The rice is so damn creamy while the fried chicken pieces are so tasty and tender. I don’t know about you guys but I always go for Nasi Lemak with a can of Coke. Maybe I’m just that weird I guess. So for the fellow food hunters, this is your new spot to hangout now.

Darussalam is one of the famous mamaks in SS15 where you’ll find it to be packed almost every night of the week. This may be attributed to their fast service and also their food — most notably their Nasi Lemak Ayam. The fried chicken is usually fried on the spot and the smell of it alone will make your stomach grumble, when you bite into it you can feel the crispiness of the skin and the juiciness of the meat. Another dish that I like is their Maggie Goreng — not too salty, not too spicy, and just nice for my liking. Darussalam is definitely a mamak that I visit quite often whenever I am hungry at night and feel like having some supper that will satisfy my stomach. They also have one of the best Nasi Lemak Ayam that I have tasted — in my opinion. But do let me know if you have tasted better as I will surely go try it out.

People come here usually for one thing, Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng(fried chicken). Often during the weekends, you’ll find this restaurant packed with people even at the oddest of hours. It’s 24 hours so people tend to head to Darus for a meal after a night of partying. The quality does dip a little after 12 but nonetheless it’s still tasty! If you don’t feel like having Nasi Lemak, you can order up some Maggi Goreng or even Naan and Tandoori Chicken. The cleanliness of the place however isn’t all that great. It’s what you’d expect of a Mamak really, just clean enough. The food is still great though. And they serve pretty fast as well. But don’t expect a smile or anything, you won’t get any. Unless it’s your lucky day. Darus is a popular spot to drop by if you wish to have decent food, to meet up with some friends or to watch football. The screens aren’t that great though. All in all, it’s the ideal to place to have a decent meal at a cheap price. I guess that’s why people come here after a long night partying, it’s affordable after spending all that dough.
