Another Thai restaurant located in the small town of Kelana Jaya. This restaurant has its place a few blocks behind the big Giant opposite Paradigm mall and rightly so. It serves up individual dishes for office lunches or you can choose and share a mélange of dishes from their Thai inspired menu. It occupies two lots side by side and is indeed comfortable and most importantly clean. We had tom yam mee hoon(highly recommended!), nasi goreng Thai, claypot noodles, kerabu kangkung and prawn fritters(which I rarely see in other Thai restaurants) to share. This restaurant is not completely Thai as they also have some Indian specialties like pizza and mutton dishes, probably to cater for the multiracial crowd that flock this place during weekday lunches. The price is fairly reasonable and my favorite is the kangkung as it is not too oily and is tender and fresh. If you’re afraid of spicy, you can always ask the chef to tone down the spice just a touch. Parking here can be an issue during weekdays with the office crowd and the food can be slow to come as well so if you are going in a big group, be sure to book beforehand. Sometimes, we even book the dishes in advance just to make the 1 hour lunchtime work. You can also choose to park at the nearby Kelana mall for a small fee. Overall service is on par and the servers are pretty friendly though stay away from requesting too much extras from the dishes as they are really busy throughout the day.

This place is kinda hidden. Though it’s located nearby to the main campus of the UiTM in Shah Alam, I think you’ll have to use the GPS or Waze just to locate it. It serves the typical type of Malaysian-Thailand cuisines with a reasonable price. I went for a Seafood Fried Rice and it’s quite delicious considering I am a seafood lover but still can’t say it’s the best since the taste are just average just like any other Siamese stall that you could find by the streets. Too many stray cats roaming around premise. It’s not even a big issue since the Jemari management provides the food for the cat at the back of their kitchen too. Couldn’t blame any sides but I guess, the town hall of Shah Alam should probably open an animal shelter for the strays. Brought few friends to Jemari after my first experience and nothing much that they could say about it. It’s just the best place for those who short out of money and those who need to find an instant tranquility.
