Located near Friendscino and Burger Byte, it is not easy to miss this restaurant with its large signboard. The place is clean and neatly arranged with lovely dark wood chairs and tables, reminiscent of traditional Chinese restaurants. When I came with the bf we sat ourselves down at one of the tables near the entrance in the middle row as it was packed on the inside. seats are also available outside but at that time it started drizzling so we took shelter inside instead. The menu is simple and a page long. Their dry bak kut teh is their signature dish so I decided to give it a try while the bf ordered the Klang original bak kut teh which was the first item on their menu. We also ordered 2 side dishes — mushrooms and onion tau fu. We ordered 2 bowls of white rice to go with our Bak Kut Teh also the standard they serve is oil rice however we wanted to be a little health conscious that day. The dry bak kut teh consisted of a few pieces of lean pork meat mixed with innards and dressed in a super thick and dark sauce that had a little kick(spicyness) to it! Very flavoursome and definitely was marinated for a long period of time as you could tell the flavours were fully soaked into the meat. The onion tau fu was soft and fluffy fried beancurd pieces soaked in an oily broth that tasted so good and really complimented the bak kut teh. This place is most certainly worth visiting if you’re in the area. Even if you’re not, make your way to Damansara to have one of the best bak kut tehs I’ve ever tasted in my life. 5 stars!

There’s never a bad time for Bak Kut Teh. Brunch, hangovers, sick days, supper, you know what I mean. I have visited this outlet in Damansara Perdana relatively frequent and I have not once been disappointed, the taste always meets my expectations satisfyingly which is a strong suit for any restaurant, consistency. Even though glancing from the outside, the restaurant is hardly ever fully crowded for some strange reason, or maybe I’ve been visiting at relatively odd hours(before lunch and after dinner times because parking is dreadful). The interior of the place is spacious and furnitures are traditional and simple. What I also like about this place is the fact that the menu is simple! Nothing exhausts me more than a thick file of a menu of similar looking and sounding items. Recommended dishes would be of course first the must have which is the«Klang Original Bak Kut The» where my choice of meat is the ribs, lean enough but perfectly tender, I always add the straw mushrooms and I absolutely love the dark and rich soup, and the other one would be the«Dry Bak Kut Teh» which comes still sizzling in dark sauce in the claypot which is rightly seasoned with dried red chillis and some other heavenly ingredients. It is not spicy and you may want to stir it up to avoid the burning of the bottom(claypot things). Other dishes which I also order would be the Onions Oil Taufu and Oil Vegetables, both drizzled with loads of fried onion. The rice served is yellow because it is oiled, however white rice is available too. Of course, one doesn’t leave out the«You Tiao» when having Bak Kut Teh! So much so that they don’t bother wasting space on the menu because it is almost not an option. Portions are very decent according to price. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area.
