Went for lunch with a group. It was a typical PJ shop house restaurant. 3 shop houses combined as the restaurant, one of it was with air conditioning. Crowd was ok for a weekday lunch time. The non air conditioning section was practically empty. Recommended the butter crabs. Other dishes was ok only.

If there is a few places for crabs in Petaling jaya. Wong poh is one of them. The places is 80% of the time fully crowded after 6pm so waiting is expected. The cheese sauce and butter crabs are consistent in quality, taste, and always comes with little sauce. So order extra sauce, it’ll come in 1 small rice bowl for a price. Other noteworthy items are the Guinness stout pork«pai-quat» which is meaty and juicy, salted egg sotong, and get the deep fried buns which are not very oily.

I came here a couple of times to have family dinners and this place is always packed with people. My family loves eating here because of their never ending cravings for seafood. Plus, it’s located not too far away from where i stay. This place has both an air-conditioning room, a non-air conditioning room and outdoor seating. On weekends, you’ll have to make a reservation before you go because it’s usually very crowded during dinner hours. The dishes I love most when I come here are their mee hoon with lala. My family loves their butter crab and a curry sauce crab with the golden brown buns. The service here is average because it’s not too slow nor is it fast. The dishes is also served at an average pace. It usually varies from time to time because it depends on what you order. But overall, this is a nice place to enjoy dinner with family and friends.

I usually do not like venturing into Aman Suria, since it’s quite out of the way and the road conditions could be quite poor. But my cravings for crabs will override any of those concerns and i finally got to try legendary Wong Poh for the first time and i loved it. Since it was only my mother and i, we only ordered 2 simple dishes, pork and long beans so we will have plenty of room for the 2 crabs. While they are famous for their Claypot Butter Crabs, we opted for the salted egg Crabs which turned out just as good. The crabs were fresh and juicy, and the salted egg flavour was perfection. Though, i was hoping their crab prices would be cheaper than most. It was a pretty standard price at RM80 for 2 crabs. Minimum order is 2 crabs by the way. Pork dish was RM12 and long beans were RM9. I would be back to try their man taus, wild boar curry and thai style pork knuckle!

This restaurant has been around for ages and is still going strong with their customers. I must say that they have kept the standard and continue to improve. The last time I had dinner here with my family, the place was already so packed. Good that my father made reservation in advance if not who knows when we will get a table. We had butter crabs that night with the fried buns… And goodness, it was fantastic. They weren’t stingy with the crab and the sauce… One would have more if it is affordable. Yes, it has gotten more pricey but I’d come back again soon.

Wong Poh have been in the seafood business for more than a decade already, as I can recalled. They are situated nearby Dataran Prima Damansara, at shop lots facing the main road. They are famous for their Clay Pot Butter Crabs, practically all their customers are here for their signature dish only. This restaurant is usually packed with customers during the weekends(It is advisable to arrive early by 6pm to avoid disappointment). Me and my family would usually order their Lala Meehoon, Stirred fry vegetables, and fried«Man Tao» to go along with their Clay pot Butter Crab. I forgot to mention that I am actually allergic to shellfish, so actually I will only dipped the fried«Man Tao» with the Butter Crab gravy(The gravy is the Bomb!). Generally I find this restaurant to be good overall, as it is well ventilated considering there’s outdoor seating and there’s ample parking spaces. Other than that, they are quite fast in their services and it doesn’t take very long to get served. Although it is not all that great in the pricing factor but generally you get good food. If you have not been to this seafood restaurant before, I strongly recommend you to try this place out. Cheers!

This place is famous for their butter crab. If you come here, that’s the dish you shouldn’t miss. Otherwise it defeat the purpose of dining here. Besides the butter crab, the man tao is also a must. They’re so delicious to couple with the butter crab’s sauce. Other than the butter crab, this place serve a variety of fried noodles, fried rice and also rice with dishes. Can either go for the fried noodles or rice with dishes(stir fry vegetables, chickens and pork). Back when I first discover this place, it used to be super packed and crowded but nowadays though still crowded, it is less as compared to before because the price of their food(especially the famous butter crab) have gone up so much. Very pricy. Besides, it’s not easy to get a parking here. Will have to park at the road side or double park in front of the restaurants.
