As far as I can remember, Ninja Joe is one of the first hipster burger joint in Malaysia. When they started more than 7 years back(I think), they are very much sought after burger joint, coupled with the fact that it’s pork burger. Their pork burgers are definitely good, but not great. There really isnt anything fancy in their burger, just bun, pork and tomato slices. I think that is the reason why they dont have as much customers(as I can see) compared to a lot more hipster burger joints nowadays. It is definitely not as good compared to a lot other burger joints, but snacking on pork and burger in such a convenient location is a plus for Ninja Joe.

I love that this fast food burger joint serves pork. And they are pretty creative with their menu. Their meals doesn’t exactly come cheap unless they are lunch specials or set menus. I’m glad that Ninja Joe realized that they needed to up their game beyond just serving burgers. They have since started their foray into Rice Bowls this April. And it’s pretty darn delicious. Out of the menu choices like Chuka Don which is Pork Grillets with egg, tofu and veggie — RM10.90, Deep fried pork, tofu and veggie RM10.90, and salted vegetable mixed with pork RM9.90. I prefer Chuka Don so far. Only drawback is that, there were several occasions where my food were served cold. And when i questioned the servers why — they merely quipped that the heating station was down.

Loving their pork burgers here! Yes they do seem to be slightly pricier than our usual fast food chain like McDonald’s but they are worth the price ok :) i just want my burgers… FASTTTTT! Burger portion was huge(well at least for me)! Comes together with fries and also a drink if you get the combo. I took a take-away when I was there, nothing much of observing the service by their staff. But I’ll definitely come back again for more :)

Ah, Ninja Joe. The definition of a pretty good concept but bad management. I know one of Ninja Joe’s owner personally, and while I know this is a franchise, the quality here must be addressed, for the quality itself has dropped ever since its venture. Their buns are smaller, their parties are less juicier and their vegetables are but strands instead of a handful. What a waste indeed, because i do like their teriyaki burgers, and it is such a waste to let this franchise be under such bad management. Ah well, back to the drawing board I guess.

The concept of this burger joint is pretty interesting. First, it is non-halal, one of the first pork burger places that I have tried. The quality of the burgers are just average even though it is pork burgers. I wasn’t much impressed when I had my first bite at this particular outlet. What struck my palette, was their shurikens. It is like a hash browns shaped like a star with pork meat. It was something different than the usual hash browns I have tried. The service at Tropicana City Mall was good. The staff were very friendly and the food was served quite fast. I was just a little disappointed with their burgers but I would not mind coming back again to give it a try another time, in the future.

It’s not easy to find pork burgers in Malaysia, and I’m quite Ninja Joe was the first to introduce pork burger with a fast food concept. They started off a simple menu selling burgers with limited selections of sauces such as teriyaki, original, BBQ and a few more. They have expanded their menu over the years, and it’s getting better. They have a few branches since their first opening, but it’s more convenient for me to visit the branch in Tropicana City Mall. The shop is located at Lower Ground next to HK Kitchen. I’m very fond of their pork burger since the very first day, the patty has always been tender and juicy and the I especially like the teriyaki sauce. Ever since they’ve expanded the menu, they have some interesting burgers such as Brucely, Big Boss, Chuck, and Sloppy Joe. The burger are slightly bigger in size than the previous ones, but they tasted equally good. Apart from burgers, they’ve also included rice and pork options into the menu — Sumo Rice Bowls. I’ve dine in there several times and it has always been satisfying — fast service and nice burgers. Overall, it’s a nice place to grab some nice juicy pork burgers without worrying about rushing for time. It’s definitely worth a try, if you have yet to try it.
