Came here for dessert and we found the chocolate hazelnut pavlova. The merengue is beautifully light and crumbly. Ordered the apple cucumber juice to accompany it and overall I really like how they watch the amount of sugar in their dessert and juices(no sugar at all). I’m definitely coming back here to try the key lime pie when I have stomach space. My boyfriend wishes the pavlova were drowned in dark chocolate sauce. He’s having chocolate cravings.

Carbonara was thick and flavourful, their smoke salmon is just right not too smokey. Coffee is good. It’s situated at Taman Mayang near the Lincoln college, design and environment here is super chill and comfortable. They provide free water and wifi. They serve pasta, sandwiches, cakes and even waffles! The waffles sure do look tempting but after having carbonara pasta, it’s too heavy to have waffles after that.

Come for the cakes and coffee, stay for the cats: there are several well-maintained stray cats here, but you’ll find them napping outside(not inside, in case anyone is worried about getting cat hair in their food or drink). It’s not a cat café, it just happens to be a place for the cats to hang. If you don’t like cats, you can always go inside and they don’t approach anyone anyway. They only use fresh milk(so if you want low fat or soy, you’re either SOOL or bring your own). Hot chocolate is not bad, and they’ve certainly expanded their drinks menu since they opened(they now have Earl Grey and After-8 lattes, in case anyone is curious). They do have hot meals, but some might find it a tad price-y for the portion you get. For the bargain hunters: They’re also on , which you should also check out as you get a discount off your total bill certain hours of the day. There’s also lunch sets if you’re so inclined. Because it’s across the street from William’s, parking right outside might not be a good idea, especially in the evenings.

First things first is that the café owner is very friendly and can take criticism of you’re a good food critic. This quiet café is a hidden gem that’s often overshadowed Williams mamak. However the food is pretty good and the ambient is quiet with jazz music that’s perfect for people who work from a laptop and need some time alone Why wouldyou come here? Personally I’ve been here for 4 hours working from my laptop and listening on my earphones, enjoying a latte and a sandwhich and glasses of water. So to escape from the city and the noise and jeremey clarksons. Come here be a james may and enjoy yourself a quiet time with a cup of latte.

Went to Milligram Café after a heavy dinner at Williams Corner, so we did not order any food apart from coffee, tea and a slice of Baileys Guinness Cake. Milligram Café use Indonesia coffee bean, and the coffee here would be perfect if you perfect yours to be strong. As for the tea I had, it was quite a disappointment. The Chamomile tea was very bland and I couldn’t hardly taste the chamomile in it. The Baileys Guinness Cake has a strong but not overwhelming taste of Guinness. However, I couldn’t taste the baileys in it, and the cake was slightly on the dry side. Would I go back to Milligram Café again? Probably yes, for the coffee and friendly staff but definitely would not be ordering the tea again.

Placed right in front of the famous William’s Corner comes another chill out corner called Milligram Café in Taman Mayang. I did not get the chance to check out their food menu as I came here late one night after dinner but I’ve generally heard good things about the food here. Parking can be a hassle at night as well because of William’s but I seem to always be lucky so I’m not complaining! It is a pretty minimalist kind of café with not much décor inside besides the painted wall but it’s comfortable to spend your time over a cup of coffee here especially if you sit outside because there is a shop-owned cat(I think?) that seems to just sleep next to you, or in fact anyone whos there. I guess it’s generally comfortable with people which can be a pleasant experience(if you’re a cat-lover of course). I ordered the Green Tea Latte here which was a tad disappointing but forgivable as it wasn’t ‘bad’ seeing as how I have yet to find a place with the best GTL anyway. This place can get very quiet which make it ideal if you need to pull yourself away from all the hustle and bustle of the world.

A new opening café at Taman Mayang Jaya. I would say Milligram Café is a hidden café because I don’t see crowd at this area. Some more, you will never aware there is a café at Taman Mayang Jaya if I didn’t purposely go there by waze. Last Saturday, I purposely went there with Danny for cat hopping. Yes, we went there for kitty instead of the coffee. We thought Milligram is a cat themed café as we saw many patrons took pictures with cats at Milligram. Guess what? We are wrong! The cats was not owned by Milligram, they are just cats nearby; but, they love coming to Milligram and chill with patrons there. Back to the café, Milligram didn’t put much effort in decorating their café. Simple design, but because it is located at quiet area, you won’t see people coming in and out or cars pass by often, here was cosy and relax. Their signature dish is Chicken Lasagna with White Sauce. The white sauce was homemade by the chef of Milligram Café. It was sweet-smelting. Normally Chicken Lasagna will serve with either red sauce or white sauce; but Milligram Café served both. Having both sauce together, it was heavenly flavorful and delicious. The red sauce was appetizing; while the white sauce was creamy. Thus, when eating both sauce together, the greasy feeling went away. If you would like to spending your leisure time in a quiet place, you may choose Milligram Café at Taman Mayang Jaya. Try out their other signature dish, Chicken Egg Benedict. If you love double shot espresso, Milligram serves that too.
