Fried chicken! The two things that I like, fried and chicken! Haha. The shop looks interesting because it looks like a café. I entered their huge door and this place is huge! It’s probably because the ceiling is the roof top, so it gave a huge space feel in here. The tables are wooden, big sturdy wooden kind of furniture. But enough of that, chicken! I ordered the crispy chicken chop with fries and add some caramelized bacon and comes together with a soft drink. The meal was a set lunch which cost about rm10.50 and rm2 extra for the bacon. Takes awhike to be done, on the resit you would have a waiting number on it for you to collect your food. So when mine came, they served in those camping trays which was kinda cute. Reminds me of my younger days in scouts, except that you don’t get french fries and chicken chop hahahaha! I was a little disappointed though, the chicken chop is small. And I had a lot of fries, talk about loosing weight. And the caramelized bacon was like few small bits of them spread around. I thought it would be in strips. But the taste is not bad, the chicken was really good, just that if only it was bigger. But so far oklar the meal, I’m full mostly because of the fries. Haha

Ever since Crispy Crust opened last year, I’ve been kind of fascinated by their unconventional furnitures; thick wooden tables and chairs with texture looking like broken pieces of thin wood plastered on top of one another. Thus, I decided to skim their menu for an interesting meal. I must say, the lunch sets are more worth the price I paid for my meal. The fish I ordered was fried nicely but the ratio of tempura bater to fish fillet was imbalanced. And I could taste the unpleasant recycled oil in the bater. Beneath my fish was spaghetti which was topped with cheese and mushroom sauce. It wasn’t that bad as I love almost anything cheesy. But, the mushroom sauce lacked flavour and thickness whereas the spaghetti was too plain. Overall, my meal was rather unmemorable. The only thing I like about Cripsy Crust is their concept, you can choose from a selection of meat(grilled chicken, fried fish, etc.) to top your carbs(fries, rice, spaghetti, etc.) and choose an add on(cheese etc.) to create your meal. Also, they serve your meals in those square metal containers which are used for camping, giving it a little twist from the ordinary.

Operating hours: Monday-Friday: 10a.m.-9p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 11a. m-11p.m Public Holidays: 11a.m.-9p.m. As this restaurant is famous for crispy fried chicken or fried fillet, they have set lunch these two main course. The set lunch of fried fillet served with rice covered mushroom sauce and a drink just cost around rm 8.90 — 10.90. I personally prefer a healthier dish, grilled chicken with salad that cost rm8.50 where the chicken only cost rm 5.50! You can even customize your own dish by choosing a main course(either fried chicken or grilled chicken or fried fillet or even salmon). Any of these main course can be served with any sides including bacon, salad, cheese, rice covered with mushroom sauce, spaghetti, egg and a lot more with very reasonable price. You can even order sides only! Who doesn’t like to choose their own customized dish. It truly satisfied most of the youngster’s taste bud! They also provide a very chilling environment where you can order a drink and catch up with your friends there. Do drop by at Crispy Crust to try it!

I used to come here at times when I was still studying in Sunway. They have a pretty intriguing way of ordering as you can pretty much customize your whole meal by firstly selecting the type of protein– grilled chicken, fried chicken, fried fish fillet or grilled salmon. Next select your carbs– spaghetti, rice, French fries, sandwich or if you’re on a diet you can opt for salad as well. Then you can always add on cheese, egg, sausage or bacon to make it more complete. Lastly choose your drinks– soda, or beer.

Crispy Crust, a.k.a Crispy Fried Chicken, is a fast food concept café located just opposite Sunway University. When seeing the word«fast food», don’t link Crispy Crust to those franchises such as McDonald or KFC. Crispy Crust only take the idea of «fast», they are highly concern on the quality of materials and ingredients they use. Crispy Crust aimed to provide customers healthier meals in less time consuming condition. In Crispy Crust, customers can customized their meals. They provide wide choice of food; from main dish to extra. For example, you can choose fried chicken as you main course, the add extra spaghetti and cheese. Or you can also choose grilled chicken along with home salad and bacon. The grill sauce is a homemade sauce. It helps improving the taste of the food. The fried chicken/fish were crunchy. They are using high quality floor to make the batter. A friend of mine told me that he was a regular customer of Crispy Crust before they opened up a café. He said previously Crispy Crust has hawker stall and it was always crowded. But then after they turned down the business, he thought they just end their business until I shared my dining at Crispy Crust, Bandar Sunway. Thus, if anyone of you knew the Crispy Crust stall, and now reading I wrote it is a café, and you are wondering whether it is the same thing. Well, I am here to tell you it is SAME! So, do drop by Crispy Crust at Bandar Sunway to satisfy your taste buds.
