Clawset Cafe

The café was relatively easy to spot, nestled in a quieter area of damansara jaya.
Food-​wise, this café isn’t that bad. I had fries which were on quite the oily side and waffles. Tasted both the Nutella and apple waffle; and I must say it’s just okay. The ice-​cream was nice though so perhaps that’s a redeeming factor. For drinks I had the affogato which was also, nothing to complain about.
But who cares when you have SO MANY CUTE DOGS. Coffee, the big poodle greeted me when I first came up the stairs and was my escort. Then there was the Maltese and the pomeranians! And the other poodle! The joy of being surrounded by 5 dogs just cannot compare to the food quality!
Overall the food quality is alright but the dogs are 5 stars!

This café is perfect if you want to bring your furry friends along. Clawset if located upstairs across the shop lots of Damansara Jaya. There aren’t many cafes in KL that you can bring pets along so I was pretty excited when I heard about this café. But if you don’t have a pet but love animals, you’re in luck because this café has little dogs on the loose for you to play with.
There are pet treats for sale if your pet decides to tag along too. Finger foods and snacks like waffles are served here if you are planning to stay long in this café to play with the dogs. There are many dogs with variety of breeds that you can play with, such as Pomeranians, Toy Poodles, Maltese and more. These little furballs will just be roaming and running around the café and customers can just grab them and cuddle them.
This café is great if you have only one pet, because you can just bring them to mingle around and make new friends with a bunch of cute dogs! This café also has a pet shop and also a grooming shop located next door of the café.

Clawset Café is your friendly neighborhood café that caters to more gimmick than the coffee itself, and for what it is worth, it works.
What gimmick, you wonder? You mean like using the name as a way to introduce coffee and dogs together in one place, confounding your sense of smell with caffeine and bad fur? Yes sir. Their coffee may only go from decent to pretty much Nescafé, but their main niche is for owners to bring their semi-​pretty dogs around town, thus creating a flow of customers talking to each other… With fur in your coffee. Fur. In. Your. Coffee. Come on, coffee lovers. Really?
If there is one thing about gimmicks, it’s about the fact that despite the coffee, everyone will just come for the dogs, and that, my friends, is sad.

If you’re a dog lover then you need to pay a visit to Clawset. Most people come here to play with the adorable dogs but they do serve proper food and drink. Since it was already late at night we just ordered popcorn chicken and french fries to share.
When you first come into Clawset, you’ll be hit by the strong smell of wet dog (though there aren’t any actual wet dogs) but you’ll soon get used to it and it’ll be as though it isn’t even there/​. If you love small dogs, you’ll be in heaven. When we paid a visit there were several Pomeranians as well as a poodle and a Shih Tzu there (One even had the fur on it’s ears dyed rainbow).
Most of the dogs were really friendly and calm and loved the attention we were giving them. My friend even put on on the chair next to her and it just sat there for the rest of our visit without a fuss. Right next door, adjoining clawset is Furry Tales, a pet salon and shop. They sell stuff like treats, food, toys, beds and even little outfits for your pets!

If you’re a dog lover like me, then this is where you’d wanna be! Clawset Café is a dog café located in Damansara Jaya a few shops away from Chuup. The café is located on the second floor and is quite easy to spot.
When you enter the café, you’ll see many pomeranians, poodles and a few dogs of other breeds running around or being cuddled by the customers. You’re even allowed to bring your dog to the café to play with other dogs while you have something to eat and drink.
The food and drinks here are not up to expectations but most of the visitors come here to play with the dogs instead of eat. Although that is the main reason of their visit, it is compulsory to order something as it is a café after all. They also sell treats which you can buy to feed the dogs there or your own.
In my opinion, the dogs there are extremely well behaved and cuddly. Not to mention that they’re super adorable! I can’t wait to be back here to cuddle with the dogs again.

The food and drinks are far from best (I had a cup of latte), but the dogs and the homey atmosphere make up for it. This particular café has a variety of well-​groomed puppies, namely Pomeranians, that customers can play with as they enjoy their brunch or tea-​time.
I had fun visiting Clawset Café with two of my girlfriends, and I think this would be a great place to bring a date *wink wink*
The dogs make a great conversation starter and the waitresses are nice and friendly as they would take their time to introduce the dogs to you.
Fun fact: the name of the drinks on the menu are named after the dogs and one cat.

I think we need many more of these pet cafes around. Visiting Clawset was like a stress reliever — it’s impossible not to feel at least a tiny bit of joy when you see a bunch of cute critters running around the café.
The food and drinks on the other hand aren’t that great. They serve waffles and coffee, among other things. I found the waffles slightly overpriced and the coffee very ordinary. If a café wants to stand out in this area, it will have to have something that will make people go WOW. Or make people want to come back. This café actually has just that, only thing it is not in the food and drinks.
So to balance things out, this is a 3-​star for me and I really hope they improve on their menu. Overall experience is still A-​OK, thanks to all the cute dogs in the house. If the trend of pet-​friendly cafes start to pick up here with more and more opening up in the area, they will definitely need to up their FnB game.

the main attraction is to attract people like me who have a dog but don’t know where to hang out haha :) now my dog is thrilled to go out with me, he is get to meet new friends and get to be with me :)
