The restaurant had limited seating. Service staff were friendly but easily distracted. Had the Ox Tail Soup, Mussaka, Baked Lasagne and Smoked Salmon Ravioli. Overall the food was great. I would however recommend giving the ravioli a miss, it is not worth the money due to the negligible amount of salmon used to make it. The place is very pricy, but worth the money, if you know what to avoid.

A very beautifully decorated restaurant that serves great Mediterranean cuisine. Stepping into the restaurant, you will see walls lined with beautiful framed colourful paintings. Came here with the bf to celebrate our anniversary just a week ago — we made a table reservation a few days in advance and got a table. Lucky we did though, as it was quite busy when we came on a Friday night. There were other couples and groups of people in corporate outfits — so I’m guessing Porto Romano is a popular hangout spot for co-workers to gather for a company dinner. There is also an outdoor seating area upstairs. Their menu had a great range of food ranging from pizzas and pastas to risottos and seafood. Also had a separate menu for their Specials of the month and a wine list(which had a good selection of white and red wines to choose from). We started with a bottle of Pinot Noir red. For appetisers we had a plate of the sautéed calamari rings which were really good. For mains — I had the grilled salmon fillet and he had the Lobster Spaghetti which was very rich and flavoursome. We also shared a plate of lobster salad(part of the April’s specials) however it tasted average — I expected more Octopus pieces but there were only a miserable few. We ended our experience with desserts(who doesn’t??), I had the apple pie which came with custard sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream — so sinfully delicious — while he had the Tiramisu which is supposedly Porto Romano’s signature dessert and was equally yummy! Service, as you’d expect in a higher-end restaurant, was excellent. The waiter assigned to our table was very attentive and stuck close enough to our table throughout the night to make sure that he was available when we needed him. Porto Romano certainly makes for a romantic night out with your significant other and also the perfect venue to hang out with a group of friends — just remember to book in advance to secure your table(the upstairs outdoor seating is also a very popular option according to the waiter). Overall it was a great experience dining at Porto Romano. The food was great, service was excellent and all in a very romantic, warm & inviting setting. The total bill came close to 500RM as our bottle of wine on its own was already more than 300RM. No regrets picking this place though for our anniversary dinner and will definitely recommend to others to come to Porto Romano at least once!

I am a huge fan of pastas, and while Porto Romano sounds like a douchey place to go to, it isn’t. It isn’t indeed. I went to this place with my friend the other day, and by the Gods did this place surprise me. I used to think this place was a slip slop place that only attract the dumb rich humans who love to spend their money on super expensive but average food, but to be honest, the food was amazing. Their Mushroom Risotto was some of the best dishes I had tasted in a while, and even the hefty price did not deter me from enjoying u food. Good job, you cunning capitalists. Other than that, I recommend couples to come here, because they do have a decent selection of wines and spirits. Herp derp.

I remember the first time I came here with my parents and a close friend of my mom, the food was really terrible as some were undercooked while other tasted different or rather absurd. That was about a decade ago or so. Then recently, I wanted to try the place again as I heard from friends and relatives the food is good. Going to an italian restaurant I either go for the pasta or pizza. I had a bad experience with the pasta a long time ago, so I went for the Pepperoni Pizza. Wow, the pizza actually taste really good. The crust was thin. and extra crispy. They were really generous with the amount of cheese and pepperoni. And they provide this sauce by the side which taste epic! Looks like this place has changed my perspective, probably I would return to face my fear of their pastas!

Never really explore around TTDI area before this. How I got to know about this place was through my colleagues. One day, we feel like having something nice for lunch(something out of the ordinary hawker foods) so they brought me here for some western food. It was my first time here, at that time I was quite bored of pastas so I decided to try their risotto. It was my first time having risotto and I think I made the right choice because the risotto was delicious. Though I’m only here for lunch, I find that this place is good for chilling out with friends over some good wine and western food(they have a very cosy and relaxing environment). I’m glad that my colleagues brought me to this new hideout. A new addition of hang out place in my list! P/S: I totally don’t feel like going back to work after chilling there.

Porto Romano serves italian food like pizza and pasta. I came here for my birthday last year and absolutely loved it. We had a pasta carbonara, a pizza and a lasagna. The lasagna was so-so but the pizza and pasta was very good. Its very expensive though, our bill came to rm280 inclusive of a bottle of wine that costs rm90. All in all the ambiance was good, very romantic and classy. Service was good too although we had to keep calling the waitress to refill our wine glasses although there were no other customers around. I would come back here though to try the other stuff on the menu, maybe for the next special occasion.

Figuring out a fancy and romantic place to eat with a reasonable price tag can sometimes be difficult. Especially when it comes to Italian/Albanian dining. However, there is one place you can count on, Porto Romano @ TTDI. The restaurant felt very cozy, romantic and private. With sufficient space, do make a reservation first before visiting. Love the ambiance and friendly service. The food was superb. Portion was great with the reasonable price. They offer salads, antipasti, pastas, pizzas, meat, soups, rice dishes and the list goes on. I loved the Mushroom Risotto which costs RM28. The rice texture was perfect, not too hard not too soft, compared to a lot of places I’ve tried. The pizza’s were also great! You can try the mushroom pizza, Devil’s pizza, Porto Romano Pizza, Hawaiian pizza, and the list goes on. Pizza price ranges from RM27-RM 40, Great for sharing if you go in a group! If you love dessert, do also try their Tiramisu which is only RM15. For pasta lovers, the seafood pasta is great! The spaghetti Carbonara is also excellent. Overall, a great dining experience and I won’t mind coming back again. A place perfect for an occasion and kind on the wallet! Do also note they have other branches such as the one in Mont Kiara and The Intermark but it may differ in terms of menu, taste and service.
