Interlude is famous for their pork dishes so I had to come here and give it a try. It is an international tapas bar which is beautifully decorated. This place is dimly litted and the ambiance is great for a dinner date. I’ve tried their pork burger which came with fries despite knowing that their signature dish here is the pork belly. To be honest, I was a little disappointed and regret ordering this. The patty lacks flavour and the bun was a little hard. However you HAVE to try their spaghetti with seafood. The sauce is rich in flavour and creamy or shall I just say heavenly. I would come here again to try their famous pork belly the next trip. Hopefully it will not disappoint me.

Interlude is a international tapas bar in Malaysia that located at taman tun area at Petaling Jaya. Their famous dish to recommend is their 17 hours slow cooked pork belly which really take 17 hours to prepare and cook. To let the spice totally all cooked into the pork belly and surprisingly it is not greasy and sickening. So far the interior design of this restaurant is very chilly, I mean they are not noisy actually you can have a beer here with your friend to have a chit chat sessions, it’s rainy when I am here, so they actually playing all these romantic jazz and pop music as well. There is quote with celebrity on their mirror wall, I like this place. :)

Touting themselves as the first international tapas bar in Malaysia, Interlude begs for a review of its carefully crafted small plates. You wouldn’t be too shocked by the menu as it contains the classic dishes of certain continents around the globe. We wanted a quieter place for our family dinner so we chose to seat al fresco(coincidentally, there was a football game going on inside the bar at the time). We each ordered a dish, totaling 6. The pizza magherita with pork bacon(RM18+ RM6 for the bacon) came warm from the oven with a still crispy crust, the cured duck pasta(RM24) served with a splash of white wine was a tad bland but still edible. We also ordered a Norwegian Salmon flanked by an apple based salad and lemony cream. The sweet and sour flavors of the condiments made this dish pop. Final 2 dishes are the 120 days grain fed tenderloin steak(RM70) drizzled with onion reduction and a green salad to balance the whole meal. I have no clue if 120 days was what the beef doctor ordered but boy, the taste difference was there with a tender texture that doesn’t make you feel like chewing rubber. This neighbourhood place is fast winning favors from the crowd so whether you just want to nibble or indulge in a cold beer or cocktail while catching a football match, Interlude should be on your list!
