Anyone who loves late-night bak kut teh has surely heard of this place along Old Klang Road. It’s literally under a bridge and held up by a makeshift zinc roof. At dinner time, parking is tricky and I’ve had to park in the mall next to it once. It’s not the cleanest place either, but hey, the best bak kut the places are not usually made of gold. The broth here is just how I like it — a balance between herby and porky. It’s not quite as strong as the more herby ones you find in Klang, but the mildness means that you can eat more at once. I find that they always run out of yao char kuey after about 10pm but I suppose it’s a blessing that I’m not served fried dough at an ungodly hour. If you’re eating here in a group, I strongly recommend the steamed fish head with ginger. The fish here is very fresh and they cook it well. Definitely one of the better places to eat along Old Klang Road.
