When I go to China town, I get off at Kannai station and walk through Yokohama park. If you like tulips, you should visit this park on early April.

A pleasant spot of green at the end of Nihonodori, albeit it’s not very quiet if there’s a game or concert in Yokohama a Stadium, which occupies a third of the park. Speaking of the Occupation, the US military used an earlier incarnation of the stadium, which they named Lou Gehrig Stadium. … Back to the park: It has plenty of playground equipment for kids… and Starbucks is nearby for adults. There’s also a wee pond and garden at one end(adequate but nothing special) and some interesting historical markers. Finally, while there are frequent mini-festivals and markets in the park which are enough to draw locals over, the best time to visit is when the tulips are in full bloom. They’re spectacular.
