This place is awesome. It’s like stepping back in time to the early 1970s and walking into a coffee shop that tries a little too hard – complete with tacky décor(viva red velveteen) and a menu that hardly seems updated. If you want to go super authentic, sit in the front room and soak in the smoke. I recommend the back room, however, both because it’s non-smoking and because the mosaic tiles are the bomb.(Note that after around 5 pm, the back room becomes a «special» room for whatever reason and there’s a slight surcharge. Our drinks were each about 60 yen more. Worth it for the clean air.) The coffee is the main reason to be here and they go all out in presentation. They also have plenty of food and deserts if you want to pop in for a meal. *This seems to be new as of mid-2015 but their menu is now bilingual, so don’t let a language barrier prevent you from stepping back in time more than forty years!*
