I didn’t know the fact until I came here, but according to info, this bar is the oldest bar in Japan! Then I understood the reason why I reached here, because I felt something nostalgic and people here looked enjoying being here. So how old is this bar? The sign says it started in 1880, meaning it’s 134 years old now. Now I need to say it’s a bit rude to say nostalgic, the bar have such a long history and it have gotten through all these up and down in Japan, the bar knows history more than anybody alive in Japan. The system here is also unique so let me explain. The seats are for everybody and it’s basically crowded in the evening, so first thing you do is to get your seats, just like you do at café. Most of the case people start to talk with everybody if you can take seats and that’s when you start to know people, anybody here enjoy being here so they are pretty nice, don’t worry. And then you go back to casier to buy tickets for your foods and drinks, so yes this is sort of cash on delivery system. After you get these tickets, just go back to the seats that you took and the staff will come to you to get your tickets and that’s when they start to get ready to cook and serve. This time I orered crab croquette and beer and they were very nice, croquette was crunchy and seafood flaour and mild, beer is fresh and famous Asahi brand in Japan, but I regret that I ate some snack before I came here, I should’ve come here without eating anything! Atmosphere is nice, people are nice, food and drink are of course nice, adress is cool(Asakusa 1−1−1), when you come to Asakusa, you should check this out. And one more thing, when I was leaving the place, tourist group form overseas were trying to get in, so yeah you can even be the one to try, don’t be shy!
