Dining here was one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever had. The owner was one of the kindest people we have ever met! Eating lunch/dinner with her was like being taken care of by your own mother. It was so delightful and amazing. All the food served was 100% vegan and organic. She was very knowledgeable about her ingredients and knew where every single bite was sourced from! It was really refreshing to eat from someone who cared so much about ensuring the quality of the food and ensuring there was no animal products in it. Which can sometimes be difficult to find when you are visiting Asia. To have traditional Chinese and Japanese dishes again but vegan versions was absolutely amazing. My husband was so happy because it was the first time he was able to have Udon Noodles in ten years! She also makes her own mochi which was the best I’ve ever had in my life! She even gave us tips and kanji to avoid when reading labels to help us not eat anything that wasn’t vegan. But this restaurant isn’t just for vegans, it is just great organic, traditional Chinese and Japanes food made from scratch that everyone can enjoy. We just wanted to say thank you so much again and we are looking forward to eating here again! We had such a beautiful time and are honored to have dined here.

When you want to taste Japanese gourmet the vegan version, you should visit here ! The owner lady, yoshiko is nice, explains the cuisine and where the ingredients came etc. I reserved myself for dinner too on the same day that I had my lunch, never had before so fishy seitan(I think it is supposed to be like the mackerel) in my life plus so similar to really sushi texture for the vegan sushi haha! Such an interesting taste! But quite pricey !!!

This is a super-welcoming, healthy & vegan/vegetarian place. Lunch only; must call ahead to reserve for dinner . Location: At JR Nara station main exit, turn right. Walk past Comfort Hotel to Toyota rentals & car dealership, a few blocks down the wide street in front of the station. At the corner where Toyota is located, turn left. The café is one and a half blocks up the side street you have turned on, on the left. There’s a sign«Vegetarian«outside. Menu and ambiance: We had the lunch special with tea/coffee(1500 yen) with rice, miso soup with mushrooms, tofu stuffed pepper, green salad, pickled veggies, mixed veg sauté, veg tempura, a small dessert of apple, orange slices & bean jelly(not sweet). Everything was fresh and delicious. The multilingual owner is friendly and welcoming, explaining the sourcing of her all-organic produce. After our lunch, she insisted on driving us to Nara Koen even though there were still several customers having lunch ! A great, heart warming experience . From other locations in town, this might be hard to find on side street.

My boyfriend is vegan and it was an absolute relief to find such an amazing vegan/vegetarian place with the most friendly chef lady ever. She has created all of the dishes from scratch and is the nicest Japanese lady. Delicious food even if you’re not vegan! We did lunch but she says dinner is even better. It’s a set meal that she changes every few days, it was ~1500円 or so for lunch. Very good deal because of all the love and care she puts into each dish. She loves people from all over the world and speaks English very well too! I think she also speaks some Spanish. :) Where to find it: When you see the Toyota building, it is on that side street, turn left before passing the Toyota car dealership from the Nara station.
