I went to the cafeteria half of Tsurumaru and was blown away how good the food was for so little money. I picked out two tempura toppings and the beef udon. The soup was outstanding and the tempura yummy. All for 760 yen. A great place for a really good, quick meal.

This place is a cafeteria style place, go to the left side of the establishment and get a tray and a few So plates and pick a few things to eat. Also when you get to front know what to order after sliding your tray along, order udon or soba and pay there utensils are next to the register. Very adorable in my book, 4 usd for a single bowl and a few extra for what ever else. Food was really good, you can order things cold or hot and it really fills you up its especially awesome on a cold day. Not very good for groups and know a little japanese as there is no english at all. The udon is very well cooked and what ever comes with it is even better. Enjoy your meal! !!

Came by for a quick lunch the other day and was thoroughly impressed. Located in an open area under street level. This Udon joint is modern and minimalist. There appears to be 2 joints, a more casual Udon joint and a more upscale sushi-like joint next door. Ordered the Beef Udon from the chef and it came out within 15 seconds. Added a few tempura toppings and went to the register to pay. The tempura was excellent! My favorite being the tempura egg for 120 yen! The tempura shrimp and fish cake were decent too! The udon was slightly chewy and the broth was good. There was no line and you’re supposed to bus and wipe your table prior to leaving. What a fantastic concept for ~700 yen a person!
