Sushi Izakaya Matsu chan

I would have never found this place on my own! A friend brought us here, an izakaya tucked away on a quiet residential street, not too far from Roppongi station. When you enter, you have to go through a dark hallway (?), and you’d be surprised just how much it opens up into a vibrant room full of energy and good vibes.
We arrived on a Thursday evening around 8pm. We were seated right away, but a line quickly formed just a few minutes later. During crowded after-​work hours, your party is given a two-​hour time limit. For some reason, we were able to stay for three and a half hours, but that may be because we kept on ordering more and more drinks and food.
I think the prices are reasonable for the food, and definitely for the drinks. Draft beer is 180yen each, which means that even if you order five drinks, your total will only be 900yen.
This place is highly recommended if you are looking for a fun izakaya experience. There are many items on the menu, so it’ll be a great place to try some new foods you haven’t tried before!

This is an amazing find in the residential back alleys of Roppongi. A very spacious Izakaya with a nicely balanced menu of sushi, yakitori, Chinese, Okinawan, Japanese, etc. pub style foods.
