There are only two times in my life when I’ve had plans to go out with friends after dinner, but then after dinner decided that there’s no way I could possibly be happier than just going back to the hotel and passing out after the meal I’d just had. Miyabi was one of those nights. I went with a group of 8 – 10 people and they had us designate the meal we wanted in advance while making the reservation. Basically you choose between different quantities of meat depending upon how hungry your group is. We picked the biggest platter. Because America. An assortment of 10 different cuts of beef comes out on these platters and then you cook them on a grill in the middle of your table. Think Korean BBQ but, you know, a totally different country. The meat was so tender and so delicious, but my only criticism would be that it might have been a little TOO fatty, which is saying something coming from me. If that’s your thing, then welcome to your own personal heaven. It was a little pricey, but not bad compared to what you’d have to pay for this quality of food in, say, New York City, and the service was impeccable(no surprise for Japan). Food: 5⁄5 Value: 4⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Atmosphere: 4⁄5
