We seem to have about 10 branches of Honolulu Coffee in Japan(as of April 27, 2014) and the one I went to is located in Azabu Juban, within walking distance from the Roppongi area. It’s open from 8am, so that you can come and enjoy an early morning coffee in this Hawaiian style place. It’s a two-story building and the first floor is open to the streets so it feels very nice. The second floor is pretty specious so even a whole family can fit in no problem. I really liked their macadamia-nuts flavored coffee, which is not bitter and has the right amount of sourness. I had the macadamia-nuts pancake with the coffee and it was good too. This is certainly a great place to spend an early morning feeling relaxed.

Not bad. Was expecting it to be a full service café, but it’s a pay/collect at counter setup. Pancakes aren’t bad and coffee is ok, but think of it as a bit of a fancy chain store.

Loved it! Came across this place while trying to find a place to kill some time while waiting for my hotel check in time. In the past about 20yrs ago, yes, it’s been a long time… you could find good ice coffee but never ice tea as Japanese weren’t really familiar with ice tea except for the iced barley tea or green tea. I was so excited to find iced black tea that looked and tasted like the ones back in the states. In the past, iced tea would be hot black tea poured over ice and you get a concoction of watery tea with melted ice and no flavor. Oh, and their bagel sandwiches and pan cakes are delicious!

If you’re bored of the«chain» coffee shops and want a mini Hawaiian getaway this is the spot! Located conveniently in the Azabu-Juban area, this new coffee shop is inviting from the moment you open the door. Once you step foot inside, your’re welcomed by the tantalizing scent of kona coffee, macadamia and coconut. Mmm Next comes the beachy décor and soothing sounds of Hawaiian music. By the time you’ve reached the counter you’ve already dropped a few stress levels and are ready to sit down and sip some coffee or dig into a fluffy pancake. Great spot to chat with friends or do some work.
