This place sits in the back from the main street, so it’s sort of difficult to find if you are just hanging out in this area. Nonetheless, this place has become quite popular and is crowded especially for weekend lunch. The pricing is reasonable and the quality is guaranteed. It’s a small place so you probably don’t want to bring more than 4 people at a time; it’s more of a place where you have a cheap but quality/casual meal time with your partner or close friend at the counter. Side dishes feel slightly pricy from my viewpoint, though. This is one of the top-notch Napoli-style pizza places in Roppongi.

Japanese pizza is not a bargain anywhere in japan so with that. They try to go big like america does but to be honest little ceasars has a five dollar that blows it away

From the outside the place didn’t look that«famous» to me as the name might suggest. However, thank-you notes posted inside Frey’s by the Backstreet Boys and Megadeth suggest otherwise. A cute little pizza place with friendly and attentive staff and a real pizza oven in which wooden logs are visibly burning, ready to bake that so famous pizza. A rare sight nowadays. I had a Marinara(basically a Margarita with garlic and basil) which was a bit too oily for my taste — the only downside I could find though. The dough was crispy, the crust as it should be — crusty — and the draft beer awesome. Compared to the other pizza places around Akasaka Frey’s is a bit on the pricier side. Not unreservedly though. Final verdict: 3.5+ stars for definitely good pizza, potentially delicious. Nice staff, food and beer though a bit pricey and quite empty at the time I was there. Give it a try whilst you’re in the area.
