Really good brunch spot I got the pastrami eggs Benedict set with acia berry yogurt and a detox smoothie. They messed up my order a little but you can blame that to the language barrier. The wait was a little long so I give it 4 stars for that reason.

We found our way in after a long night sleep upon arriving in Tokyo for the first time. Since it was close to our hotel(Hyatt) we decided to give it a try. It was our first experience in a restaurant in Japan so we were a little out of water but someone was kind enough to point us to the sign in sheet(which seems to be the way it’s done throughout) and we quickly got our seats. The ordering ordering process was easy and I had the signature«eggs benedict», which were rich and creamy and my wife has the Coconut pancakes, which were really good as well. I also enjoyed the lemonade, it was sparkling and very refreshing. If you want a great breakfast, this is s great spot.

I was nearby for something else and found this restaurant that provides for an almost-Western breakfast. The philosophy that they mention on the menu is all about the Western method of leisurely breakfasts that is mostly missed out in Japan. And I’m okay with that. I sat here for a good hour enjoying my coffee refills before heading on for my errands. Eggs Benedict is sure a Western thing. And it’s done very well here at Eggcellent. I’ve noticed that the eggs in Japan have the brightest orange yolks and that’s the case here. It’s apparently because the chickens are fed flowers. How about that. The bacon was the usual Japanese attempt at American bacon. Slightly different but still quite good. And the English muffin base was also an interesting try that was different but still good. The tangy cole slaw on the side instead of potatoes was also very different and was also quite good. I’d return to Eggcellent. It was very good and completely unexpected in Japan.

Hm… Cute interior and waiters but the food is just so so. I had their original, not special, Egg Benedict — maybe I should’ve had the special but I couldn’t justify the price… I’m probably comparing it too much to what I get in the States but the sauce is just too buttery without the Hollandaise sauce flavor… and while their egg is good, the overall flavor was meh. The salad that came with it was really good but the fact that I preferred the salad over the egg benedict is kind of sad. They do get an extra star for the coffee though! I am forgetting the name of the coffee but it’s one of options with the set menu. Best coffee in Japan I had during my visit!

If you’re in Tokyo and wanting a great breakfast with excellent service then this is the place. I had the pastrami eggs benidict and it was to die for. My girlfriend had the avacado toast and it was also excellent. I can not recommend Eggcellent enough. Truly a unique place in Rappongi Hills.

my favorite breakfast place in japan.(except ive never really been there for breakfast.) its pretty interesting how they have their own original eggs benedicts. my personal favorite is their am benedict, which has a slice of tuna in it. their eggcellent latte is definitely worth a try as well. it gets pretty busy on weekends, so you might wanna make a reservation beforehand.

If you’re in Japan and craving something a bit western, this spot is for you. My boyfriend and I were staying in Roppongi Hills and we were craving eggs. Luckily for us, this appropriately-named place was within less than a mile away, and so we made our way for brunch. I ordered the ‘Half & Half Benedict’ with a drink set, while he ordered the breakfast set, with a green smoothie. Both really good and fresh-tasting. After two weeks of eating traditional breakfasts, it was refreshing to also eat something that was healthy on a different spectrum. Quick tip: if you’re ordering from their ‘drink set’, the drink you will get will be tiny and not full size. A drawback as well, is that this place is also a bit pricey, but most likely less pricey than your hotel room service or breakfast buffets. I figured that it would cost a lot to have organic eggs, avocados, quinoa and so forth — something not typical of a Japanese diet.

The name says it all: The eggs here really were eggcellent! I have had eggs benedict at a couple of places and after falling in love with it in sam francisco i was very picky and wasn’t very satisfied with the way it was prepared in Japan. But behold! The eggs here are really amazing, i recommend just the original eggs benedict for ¥1450. They were grand. The pancakes were also very fluffy and, just like the eggs, came in a large variety of choices. They also have other things like salad, coffee, tea, even alcohol. I had a kale smoothie, yum. A bit pricey, but if you have the funds its definitely worth it. ** great wifi! Password is egg89

My fiancée and I were craving eggs and bacon one morning during our stay in Tokyo and decided on trying out this place. I ordered the yogurt and granola and a pancake. It was good but unmemorable. I also tried their orange juice, which is served in an actual orange. This was fun to try but probably not worth the price. It seemed like a great, casual place to bring a family. The restaurant was bright and the service was good.

This was airway respite for a western traveler craving some coffee, eggs, and OJ for breakfast! The restaurant is airy, bright and inviting, although can get noisy once it fills up. The coffee was excellent, and even came with a refill! OJ(picture attached) was cute, but for 600 came virtually with no juice inside. Enjoy looking at the one ordered by the person next to you and get something else. We ordered Yogurt parfait and the half/half eggs Benedict. yogurt was good, fresh fruit, and came with selection of honey that gets added table side, which is a nice effect. The yogurt is unsweetened so make sure you get plenty of honey! Half and half was also really good. Half standard Benny, which was the same as anywhere, but the prize was the AM benny that was avocado, tuna, and egg on a quinoa patty. The flavored were truly fantastic and the tuna made me feel less guilty about eating a western breakfast in Tokyo. Note: the place is expensive! 4,000+ yen for two people for breakfast. More than our dumpling dinner the night before!

Eggscellent was Excellent! I was planning in coming here for brunch but in my usual way I was running late so I missed brunch and caught it just as they changed over to the dinner menu. It was a little bit limited in the choices basically you can order a salad or eggs Benedict. That’s about it. I opted for the Greek Benedict. It’s Organic Eggs, hummus, semi-dried tomato, feta cheese, oregano, an English muffin and of course hollandaise sauce. It was fantastic! Five stars taste wonderful! All of the flavors went well together and it was just delicious! My only dislike was the coleslaw was twice As big as the eggs Benedict and for 1,800¥ I would like my main dish to be a bit larger than the side. All in all it was awesome! I came on a Wednesday evening and there were almost no other customers so I was seated right away. The restaurant is cute and the staff is English friendly and kind. Enjoyed it very much! Next time I will be back for brunch and I won’t be late!

I would give this place a 3,5 out of 5 to be honest. In general a good impression, the staff was nice but nothing out of the ordinary and the interior is fresh and bright. The latte was okay, but they milk coffee tasted like a heated convenience store coffe drink. However the Upstream Benedict’s were perfect. And the daily green smoothie felt like a shot of revitalizing vitamins. So food-wise this place is fairly good. It seems to be a great place for parents with children, but people without children will perhaps find it a bit noisy. I visited this place on a weekday around 11 so there was not any trouble getting seated quickly. However it is not very large so there are limited seats. If you happen to be looking for a place to have brunch in Roppongi, this is a good option but it’s not worth to solely come here for just a visit to Eggcellent.

On vacation and in the typical visit and try the local hot spots. I would put this place on my top 10 of places to try, but def not top 5. Nothing spectacular about the food or ambiance, especially for the price you pay.

This place is sooo amazing. The interior is so cute and welcoming. My husband and daughter caught the subway from shinjuku and we got lost but it was totally worth the scavenger hunt adventure. It’s inside the mall which took us a while to figure it out because we came at 8am and nothing was open. They are very very friendly especially to kids. The food was so amazing and the water tasted so good. Yes i said the water. The coffee was on point and dressing for the salad was delicious. When I come back to visit I hope it’s still around!

Maybe I’m in a good mood, maybe it’s cause the sun’s shining and I don’t have to work today — but this was great. Excellent(Eggcellent!) I opted for the half and half Benedict; half a classic eggs Benedict, the other their ‘A.M Benedict’ — an amazing organic egg, avocado & Maguro tuna all on a bed of sesame & siso rice. It was insane! Different, but sweet tasting, and just works so well — especially with the fresh Japanese style side salad and freshly made peanut sauce. It all sounds a bit mad — but try it! I shell be back…

Wow. Excellent place for breakfast/brunch. I love the menu, the ambience and everything! It does get crowded for brunch on weekends but weekdays are totally fine. I got the benedict and it was great ;) the orange juice was very fresh(came in the orange itself)

Great western breakfast with loads of egg choices and cute egg theme everywhere if you can bear the half hour queue in front of the place. I ordered half half eggs Benedict. The version with rice and sashimi was pretty cool together with a pretty nice salad. On the other hand, traditional one came with uncooked bacon which was not what I would have expected. Since I was quite hungry also added extra pancakes and peanut butter. Their pancake were also quite allright with cute bottle of maple syrup and yummy peanut butter :) Service for the amount of people was also pretty fast once seated. So overall a pleasant experience.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic, and the service was great. The food tasted pretty good, but since I asked for no bread(gluten-free) the portion was small for the price I paid. The people I was with who had ordered regular orders seemed more full than I was at the end. It’s a good place to get American style brunch, and if I wasn’t paying I would go back.

This is a pretty cool spot to grab brunch. Obviously it’s not traditional, Japanese cuisine, but sometimes you just want some eggs benny! It’s located inside of the mall — as you walk in, go around the escalators and tucked away in a little nook is Eggcelllent — and man is it excellent! Eggs Benedict — eggs were perfect. Muffin was soft and fluffy and the ham was fatty and delicious. Came with a side salad with peanut sauce The iced coffee was perfect! Came in a little container with simple syrup. Wife had avocado toast — I had a nibble and it was great — she really loved it. Orange juice — in an orange!!! Yea, you read that right! Not sure how they do it, but it seems the ground the insides of the orange through a little hole — and then serve it right in the orange with a straw. Delicious. Not a HUGE amount of juice, but it was good — it also comes included with your meal if you order the eggs benny. They also have little mints — that you can grab at the end/on your way out. They looked like eggs and tasted like orange! The entire place is decorated with eggs from the entrance to the sugar holders to some of the stools! They also have some nice woods throughout — giving it a nice trendy feel(yea, there’s mason jars). My mother in law and friend made the trek back here for breakfast one morning without us — they really enjoyed it! I was a little disappointed I didn’t join them for a second go around!

Eggcellent is located in the roppongi hills shopping center and serves cute western/japanese fusion breakfast and brunch foods. If you happen to be from hawaii, this place reminds me of all the cute japanese breakfast places in waikiki. Obviously, the theme is eggs, and they are everywhere. I ordered the Maguro benedict, a japanese take on eggs benedict. Sushi is good, Benedict is good, so sushi Benedict should be good too, right? Right! Two little rice parties were topped with avocado, maguro, a poached egg, hollandaise sauce and a little lotus chip. It came with a little salad topped with peanut dressing and a roasted tomato. If you’re a Benedict adventurer, I’d highly recommend this dish, and at 1600 yen, the price is comparable to the states(well, in hawaii at least). You can also order mimosas and freshly squeezed juices served in the rind(see the pic I posted of my grapefruit juice. While the juice in the fruit itself is an interesting and cute idea, it’s a little hard to drink and you end up wasting a lot. For 600 yen, I probably wouldn’t get this again. The service was very friendly, but extremely slow. There were also a good amount of moms and babies dining here for brunch which made for some very cute entertainment.
