If you have never had a very modernized«Yakitori» in Tokyo, this place, Iguchi, should be a good starting place for you. They only have one course menu, which offers 20+ small items and I’m sure you’ll be pretty full at the end. So, you just need to sit there and watch the chef prepare the dishes for you. It’s a lot of fun to see them grill in front of you. As you can see from the photos of the inside of this place, it’s a very stylish place and looks almost like a hidden bar. It’s actually a fairly small, comfortable place and is even nicely low-lighting. So, obviously it’s a great place for couples and I’m certain that most girls would be impressed how diverse the dishes in the course are. The only downside is that this place is located in an apartment, which is pretty hard to identify. If you are a stranger in Nakameguro, you’d definitely have a hard time locating it. To avoid spending 30 minutes trying to find it, I would suggest you call them up and ask a waiter to come down to the entrance of the building. Don’t waste your time going in circles around the building. All in all, this is one of my best recommendations for your Yakitori experience in Tokyo. Although it’s not cheap, I’d say you won’t regret checking it out.

great yakitori place with a reaonsably priced course meal! the meal was sooooo long with so many dishes. the appetizers were yummy but I also wished to eat more proteins(chicken!) The atmosphere is very nice and I love the ambience of the place. However, for the nakameguro branch it was a bit hard to find(on second floor of an apartment). Apart from the fact that they actually substituted some of the items … I am very satisfied with this place :) also being able to book a table online is a plus for me as a gaijin
