Not sure if you have ever had horse mackerel before, either raw or deep fried. Kyobashi Matsuwa’s speciality is this breaded, deep-fried horse mackerel dish, which is the only thing on the menu for lunch(comes with rice, miso soup, etc.) at 1,300JPY. You can expect it to taste like sophisticated«fish and chips»(well, no chips here, though) — it’s super crispy outside and very fluffy and moist inside. You’ll like it. If you come for dinner, it gets a bit pricy. So if you are curious, come for lunch first and see how you like it. Make sure to get to the restaurant a bit before it opens. There’s always a long line during the lunch hours so the earlier you get there, the less time you wait in the line.
