Cheap and fresh is a rare combination, but this place got it down! Doutor is all over Japan and it makes sense because the food is delicious and ridiculously cheap! My sister and I eat at Doutor almost every day and we get the breakfast set, which costs $ 3.90. This set comes with a delicious sandwich and a cup of coffee or tea. Although the sandwich is kind of small, it is full of flavor! The sandwich(especially in Set B) comprises of fresh veggies, thinly sliced meat, mayonnaise and a citrusy dressing that will brighten your morning instantaneously. I crave it when I wake up in the morning and is my motivation to get ready for school. In addition, the beverage is quite large. I would expect a kiddie-sized drink, but it’s actually closer to a medium. Sometimes I replace the coffee or tea with a soy matcha green tea latte, and the extra charge is definitely worth it. The soy is quite strong, but I enjoy the taste of soy. The soy somehow tastes fresher in Japan than it does in America. Also no sugar is needed for the matcha green tea latte unless you want to cough out sugar cubes. Bottom line: $ 40 a day? Yeah, Rachel Ray would approve this place.
