Solid 4. Located on the 3rd floor of the Marunouchi building near Tokyo station, this is a choice place to grab afternoon tea with a few good friends or a date. Yes, the cakes are kind of pricey but they are huge. HUGE! I got a seasonal special– the Very Berry cake with layers of chocolate cake, fresh whipped cream, custard cream, and chocolate whipped cream, filled with berries. Delicious, and delightfully light and fluffy and not heavy at all. My aunt got the popular crêpe cake with mixed fruit, which was equally light and not overly sweet. we each got a pot of Assam. While it was certainly fun, with it’s mock English tea feel, this place is a tad expensive so keep that in mind. For the portion though, I’d definitely come back to try more of their seasonals.
