Interesting café with nice views if you get a window seat. Power outlets at some tables and that view are well worth the detour to the fourth floor – skip the ground floor Starbucks. Coffee itself is an interesting if limited selection, but what they have is a good balance of flavor without too much bitterness but still possessing a rich and complex flavor. They have a variety of other interesting beverages and food items on the menu but I came for the coffee. Free building WiFi in range was a nice bonus.

I love the Café Lexcel! It’s my office away from home and the reason why I bought a commuters pass to Tokyo Station. They have great tiramisu, good sandwiches and cheese toast and even a decent meatloaf. The large windows looking out toward Tokyo station and the large work table with built in electrical outlets are two of the highlights. In addition to some really great coffee and excellent latte art, the café also serves some decent red wine for 500 yen. They also have Guinness, heartland beer and the new Kirin Hard Apple Cidre(though I recommend the Hobgoblin if you want great cyder). The staff is friendly and the café is open until 9pm on weekdays, so it’s great for work, a quick meal or a meeting place right in front of Tokyo Staton. The café is in range of the free building wifi.
