You’ll see and feel its history once you step into this Yakitori place. They have been in business for decades and local people seem to like it a lot. I went there for lunch, looking forward to having their speciality dish, Oyakodon, and that’s what their lunch is all about. They have different types of Oyakodon for lunch, but I suggest you go for the normal one(1,000JPY) if you don’t have any previous experience with Oyakodon. As their Oyakodon is popular for its loose top(very lightly cooked egg on top, compared to average Oyakodon out there) — Keep that in mind if you are not good with half-done egg dishes. It only takes 2 – 3 minutes from the station and it’s not too far from Ueno, so when you are hanging out in the Ueno area, you may want to take a little bit of a detour and come check this out.
