A pretty nice place to go for slightly unusual«Oyakodon» lunch. Oyakodon is a rice bowl with egg and chicken. «Oyako» means parent and child; hence chicken and egg. Bonbori’s version of Oyakodon is unusual in that the chicken meat is Chargrilled. You could smell the wood chips in the meat. The surface of the chicken is actually black/grey. For me, I often struggle finding a high protein lunch option in Japan. I enjoyed the fact Bön Bori gives you pretty good amount of meat in their Oyakodon for 900 Yen. With that said, I do prefer the traditional style of Oyakodon. Counter seats were roomy and perfect for dining alone. Non-smoking at the counter seats.
