Good Quality? no, that is totally wrong! this shop LOOKS like it might be a good quality shop, its shiny marble exterior gives the impression of wealth and class and the promise of respectable shoe quality. you go in and it doesn’t look too bad either but if you really look at the shoes you will realise that they are not top notch really, the shop was all an illusion. a year or two ago I bought a lovely pair of high heels in there, well i though they looked good anyway! after one night out wearing them they appeared to kind of break at the sole, so instead of a heel coming off the sole kind of bent a bit so that the heel was a bit wonky! Unfortunately i had waited two months to wear them, i had to buy something nice to wear with them! So i brought them to my trusty shoe repair man in Dundrum and asked if he could fix my lovely new shoes and he replied that they were very bad quality and not worth repairing at all, they were made of cheap materials and were not worth spending money on. I had paid 60 euro for the things! So to finish my story i never went back to Zerep, they are not good quality and the shoes are more expensive than they are worth.

I stop at Zerep every time I walk down Grafton Street to check if they have any decent heels. Like Mary I like their flats a lot but for heels they are a bit of a let-down unfortunately. They don’t have a lot of variety and only basic styles. I mean whatever you see in the window is pretty much what they’ve got. Don’t get me wrong, their shoes are decent quality and not too expensive either but I want my shoes to have something extra and these don’t. Still, the girls working here are very friendly and it was one of the few places where a friend of mine could get size 9 heels a couple of years ago. Zerep is a good shoe shop but nothing exciting.

Zerep seemed kind of intimidating to me at first, and I’m not really sure why. I guess the way the window display was arranged made it seem like this place was fancier than it really is. I think Zerep is one of the best shoe shops in the city for finding a variety of well-made flats. I can’t stress that well-made enough, as most flats are horribly constructed bits of plastic and(maybe) leather. Zerep’s just seem like they’ll hold up better than the rest. The rest of the selection is good too, just a standard shoe store and nothing to write home about but decent enough. It’s kind of like Aldo in terms of style, variety and price.
