This shop is absolutly great ! It’s the kind of place where you want to stay for hours even without buying anything. The decoration is wonderful and the music is sooooo good! The staff let you time to choose and visit the shop without asking you if you’re okay every 2 minutes ! Their’s also a big counch in the back where you can relax if you wait for your friends or your lover. And the most important: you have a large choice of skate/surf style clothes. Try once, you gonna love it !

Tribe sells exactly the style of men’s clothing that was popular from about 1998 – 2002 in the United States. Loose fitting skate and surf-inspired gear that’s comfy, casual and easy to take care of. While trends have dictated that skinny jeans replace baggy ones, and graphic t’s replace plain, a lot of guys are quite resistant to the new cool look. So really, Tribe is great. My boyfriend loves this place, and continues to party like it’s 1999… despite my secret wish that he’d shimmy into some slim-cut jeans, button up a plaid shirt and top it all with a cute grandpa cardigan.

I love this store, and if it wasn’t so damn expensive i would buy a lot more of my clothing here. Here you can buy a range of clothes mainly by brands like Carhartt and Quicksilver. In fact the addition of the Quicksilver store downstairs has removed a lot of their stuff from this store and allowed for other brands like Road to get a bit more prominence. You Can get mens wear in this store and a specialised womens store is to be found on the third floor. Like i said, its a little bit on the expensive side, but not unlike most fashion stores these days. I guess if you are willing to pay the average price for jeans and a t-shirt then this place will just about suit you… any cheaper and look elsewhere. I like the clothes here because they are loose fitting and comfortable, also they are plain. T-Shirts have only small logos, and if they have big ones they usually only say Earhart and not something stupid and irrelevant. Although Carhartt… is a little stupid and irrelevant. but still.

Used to really like Tribe. Don’t anymore. Either they’ve changed or I have but there doesn’t seem to be anything interesting in here anymore. It’s a bit on the pricey side too. It’s a kind of semi-skater shop. Formal skatewear if you will, what skaters wear to their granny’s house.

Impressive selection of surf style wear with brands like Vans, Camper and O’Neils. There used to be a bigger selection for ladies but there’s still a few rails knocking around. As one might expect from these brands, prices are pretty steep, prohibitively steep as far as I’m concerned! Definately a shop for middle class ‘too cool for school’ kids.
