Bagels & Beans

You’ve gotta love when it’s cold and rainy and you come across a Bagels & Beans! With tired feet and just tired, we were ready to sit down and warm up a bit. It was like someone read our minds and plopped the B&B right there. It’s inside a mall-​type building that we didn’t even realize was there (but we aren’t in that area much to be fair). It’s a smaller area where you are quite close to your neighbor, but that’s the coziness of the area.
We were welcomed as soon as we entered which is always a nice touch. And soon after we looked at the menu (thinking I would get something that wasn’t my normal — but didn’t), a woman came to take our order. It came out as quickly as it should – no hurry as we were warming up!
I usually get a chai latte… from various Bagels & Beans and it has never had so much spice in it. I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to my favorite warm drink in Amsterdam (Gluhwein not included). Not sure what the deal was, but sadly, I didn’t leave very happy. My husband’s coffee was good he said and was a nice temperature, while mine was piping hot when it arrived. That’s fine with me because it can still warm my hands!
So, why the 4 stars? Because his drink was good, and I know that in general it’s a good place to know. I hope if I go next time, that I will get a different drink and it will be delicious!
